A coating arrangement has the following characteristics: &#x2014;particles having a scratch hardness greater than or equal to 9 and a median grain size that can be determined, &#x2014;a coating having a thickness equaling approximately half the median grain size, &#x2014;a coating carrier with a surface comprising recesses, wherein a portion greater than 85% of the recesses compared to a surface surrounding the associated recess is designed with a depth smaller than approximately 10% and/or a opening width smaller than or equal to approximately 15% of the coating thickness, and &#x2014;the coating is applied to the surface of the coating carrier and surrounds the particles at least at a lower region oriented toward the coating carrier.

Coating arrangement

A roller bearing assembly includes at least one outer ring () with an outer track (), which is surrounded on its outer side by an outer part (), and at least one inner ring () with an inner track (), which surrounds the inner part (). The inner part () and the outer part () project axially beyond the inner ring () and the outer ring (), so that an explosion prevention gap () is formed between the inner part () and the outer part (). The explosion prevention gap () is at least substantially linear and cylindrical.

Rolling bearing arrangement

A method is disclosed in which a pressurized fluid presses an axial abutment surface against a first machine element in the axial direction to thereby fix the axial position of the first machine element and/or to thereby set a desired axial pre-loading of the first machine element. The fluid is then solidified to permanently maintain the axial position and/or the axial pre-loading of the first machine element. A clamp is disclosed that permanently affixes the first machine element relative to a second machine element using this method. An apparatus comprising the first machine element axially fixed relative to the second machine element by the clamp is also disclosed.

Method for securing a machine element

A rotary joint mechanism for connecting two machine parts to effect relative movement between the two machine parts includes an outer ring adapted to be connected to a rotatable machine part, and an inner ring adapted to be connected to a fixed machine part, with the outer ring being rotatable relative to the inner ring. The outer surface of the outer ring is provided with a mechanism for transferring force from at least one cable element to the outer ring to effect rotation of the outer ring relative to the inner ring.
