A correction calculation method for a satellite based positioning system with a network of receiving units as reference stations comprises a partitioning of the network into groups of reference stations, calculation of group-specific correction factors, amalgamation of the group-specific correction factors and subsequently, derivation of network-specific correction parameters. In this partitioning, the reference stations are represented by nodes in a connected, edge-weighted graph, in the generation of which an edge respectively connecting two nodes is only generated if it satisfies a distance-dependent connectivity condition, whereby the distance between the nodes connected by this edge is input into the weighting function of this edge. From the graph a minimum spanning tree is derived and subsequently partitioned for establishing the groups.

Calculation method for network-specific factors in a network of reference stations for a satellite-based positioning system

Reference dictionaries and data dictionaries are used in order to analyze data in data formats, which cannot be directly processed and which are communicated between geodesic units. These dictionaries are transmitted preferably in conjunction with the transmission of the data and they index analyzable data fields in data formats. When a geodesic unit receives a data format that cannot be directly processed, data fields, which can be analyzed by the reference dictionary, can be found and data fields, which cannot be analyzed by a data dictionary, can be utilized.

Method and devices for utilizing data in data formats which cannot be directly processed

The invention relates to a satellite-based positioning system in which a transmitter () emits electromagnetic radiation at least at N&#x2267;3 carrier frequencies (). In order to resolve the phase ambiguity for said satellite-based positioning system, the electromagnetic radiation is received by a receiver (), and K pseudo paths () and L carrier phases (), especially at least two pseudo paths () and at least two carrier phases (), are derived from the received radiation as M pieces of distance data, wherein M=K+L. In order to determine the position, the integer phase ambiguity is derived from the linear combination of a maximum of M&#x2266;2N&#x2212;1 pieces of distance data.

Phase ambiguity resolution method for a satellite based positioning system

The aim of the invention is to limit the number of possible phase ambiguity resolutions when taking measurements by means of satellite-aided positioning systems. Said aim is achieved by a method which allows the search sector to be better restricted. To this avail, information about the geometry of an antenna array is used for establishing restrictions for said antenna array. Said restrictions allow the search sector and thus the number of acceptable resolutions to be successively reduced. A restriction comprises the utilization of the connecting line between two antennas (A, A) that define a primary base line (S). An additional, secondary base line (S) can be calculated by inventively parameterizing the degree of rotational freedom of said secondary base line (S) about the primary base line (S) such that the process is accelerated.
