A delta handler can allow calculation of difference between an already generated set of backend entities and a set of new entities necessary to support a primary object affected by a change made in a development environment supporting extensions to a backend model of a software architecture. Improved stability and robustness can be provided via an approach in which a target list of activities relating to creating, changing, or deleting of entities in backend repositories necessary to support the affected primary object is created and a sequence for performance of the activities in the target list is determined in a manner that can allow handling of such activities in a unified manner rather than on a per object type basis. Generation framework for mapping of object models in a development environment

Described are methods and systems related to transporting one or more object packets present in a nested hierarchy of one or more system landscapes. The object packets available for transporting from source systems to target systems present in the nested hierarchy of the system landscapes is identified. A transport request is generate for a collection of object packets of each source system in the nested hierarchy of the system landscapes. The transport requests are aggregated to render a nested transport collection. The nested transport collection is transported within the nested hierarchy of the system landscapes. The nested transport collection is deployed to assign the transport requests present in the nested transport collection to the target systems present in the nested hierarchy of the system landscapes.

Transporting object packets in a nested system landscape

The method may include receiving software objects associated with a software update. Moreover, a container may be provided. The container may include the received software objects and attributes. Configuration data is received for a pattern, and the configuration data is stored in a design store. The pattern defines an arrangement of user interface elements and specifies predefined actions that can be performed using the user interface elements. The configuration data specifies associations between one or more of the user interface elements or one or more objects in a back-end system. The configuration data is transferred from the design store to a design time repository, and the application is deployed corresponding to the configuration data.
