A method, apparatus, or system to identify optimal parameters for programming a cardiac stimulator by a matrix-based decision algorithm using sensor data representing cardiovascular function. The parameters include pacing intervals optimized concurrently to produce the maximum resulting cardiac function.

Method, apparatus and system to identify optimal pacing parameters using sensor data

Systems, methods and devices for monitoring, analyzing, and processing a patient's heart rate signal for HRV characteristics are described herein. A first heart rate signal is acquired. The first heart rate signal includes at least one indication of an interval duration of cardiac activity. At least one accelerating portion and at least one decelerating portion of the first heart rate signal are identified. An average heart rate signal is acquired. The accelerating portion or the decelerating portion of the first heart rate signal is replaced with the average heart rate signal to produce a second heart rate signal. A frequency spectrum of the second heart rate signal may be obtained and utilized to predict or detect one or more autonomic conditions of a patient. Therapy may initiated or titrated in response to prediction or detection of the autonomic condition.

Heart rate variability distinction

The present disclosure provides an apparatus and method of optimizing a pacing heart rate. The method can include obtaining a preload-frequency relation and a force-frequency relation from histogram data for a patient condition and determining an optimal pacing heart rate for the patient condition. The optimal pacing heart rate can be substantially between a first heart rate corresponding to a minimum preload condition based on the preload-frequency relation and a second heart rate corresponding to a sustained ionotropic reserve condition based on the force-frequency relation.

Method and apparatus to optimize pacing heart rate

A cardiac rhythm sensor positioned on or close to the heart senses electrical or mechanical activity and transmits a cardiac rhythm signal wirelessly to a subcutaneous ICD. Arrhythmia detection and delivery of therapy are performed by the SubQ ICD based upon the cardiac rhythm signal received from the sensor.
