An elastane multifilament yarn havig two to six individual filaments which, when being unwound from a bobbin, is splittable into individual filaments, is produced by a process wherein multihole spinning jets are deployed in the spinning head of a conventional dry spinning apparatus, laminarizing the spinning gas flow to prevent entanglement of the individual filaments and passing the resulting yarn through a thread guide with one opening per individual filament.

Splittable elastane yarns

The invention relates to a coating compound for fibers and to a process for the production thereof The invention relates in particular to a preparation agent for elastanes, based on a dispersion of fatty-acid metal salts and an agglomeration inhibitor in polyorganosiloxanes and mineral oils. The preparations are produced by a precipitation process from which fined-particle and sedimentation-stable dispersions with a narrow particle size distribution are obtained which are free from agglomerates.

Process for producing splittable elastane yarns

The invention relates to a process for the solventless production of elastic filaments based on segmented poly(urethane)s or poly(urethane urea)s having improved thermal properties and, hence, improved processing behavior, for example during the heat setting of fabrics containing the elastic fibers, by the use of a polyisocyanate containing isocyanurate groups in the reaction of long-chain, relatively high molecular weight polyhydroxyl compounds with organic diisocyanates and low molecular weight diols and, optionally, other auxiliaries and additives in the melt, direct spinning of the reaction mixture thus obtained and thermal aftertreatment of the elastic filaments obtained and also to the filaments obtainable by this process.

Process for the production of elastane filaments

In order to conduct thoroughly pre-mixed hot gas into a ring spinning nozzle by a rotational flow in such a manner that sufficient quantities of hot gas are available for drying the filaments situated on the inside without causing backflow and without any significant movement of the filaments by turbulence, an annular chamber with tangential inlet is placed around the ring spinning nozzle. The internal wall of the chamber is separated from a circular chamber by equalizers in its upper region while on its underside it is separated from the spinning chamber by equalizers and metal gauzes at the level of the lower edge of the spinning nozzle. The circular chamber is also separated on its underside from the spinning chamber by equalizers and metal gauzes.
