A method for providing crease lines to a packaging material having a bulk layer is provided. The method comprises arranging the material to be creased between an elastic anvil and a pressing tool having at least one protrusive ridge facing the anvil, and pressing the ridge towards the anvil such that the packaging material will be subject to an imprint, whereby the width of the imprint is continuously increasing as the ridge is pressed against the anvil.

Method for providing crease lines

A bulk-based packaging material is provided, comprising at least one crease line for facilitating folding of the packaging material to a package. The at least one crease line is formed as an imprint on a primary side of the packaging material, and as an embossment on a secondary side of the packaging material, wherein the imprint is formed as an elongated groove having a triangular profile.

Packaging material

A package is provided, comprising a packaging material having a bulk layer and being formed into a three-dimensional container by folding the packaging material along predefined crease lines thus forming a fracture along the crease lines. The package comprises a plurality of corners, wherein at least one of the corners is arranged at an area of the packaging material in which two or more crease lines intersect.

The present invention relates to a laminated cellulose-based liquid or semi-liquid food packaging material, comprising a brown or dark bulk layer from non-bleached, cellulose-based material, an outside substrate layer having a white print surface to hide the dark colour of the bulk layer, and on the inside an oxygen barrier layer and an innermost heat sealable layer. The invention further relates to the method for manufacturing the laminated packaging material and to a packaging container for liquid food packaging, comprising the laminated packaging material.

A packaging laminate includes at least one material layer provided with magnetizable particles. A roller can be configured to apply crease line patterns on the packaging laminate while also applying magnetic fields for magnetizing at least some of the magnetizable particles in the packaging laminate. A method of controlling working operations on a packaging laminate in a filling machine involves supplying a packaging laminate to a filling machine, wherein the packaging laminate includes at least one material layer comprising magnetizable particles, with at least some of the magnetizable particles being magnetized particles. The method also involves controlling working operations of the filling machine on the packaging laminate supplied to the filling machine by reading information provided by the magnetized particles.

The present invention relates to a method for visualization of non-visible information on a packaging material to provide traceability. The method comprises the steps of: reading the non-visible information from the packaging material by means of a magnetic head reader, processing the non-visible information in a central processing unit together with additional new non-visible information, and printing an optional portion of the amount of combined non-visible information onto the packaging material as a traceability marking. A non-foil packaging laminate for liquid food packaging comprises a core layer of paper or paperboard, outermost liquid tight, heat sealable layers of polyolefin and, applied onto the inner side of the layer of paper or paperboard, an oxygen gas barrier layer formed by liquid film coating of a liquid gas barrier composition and subsequent drying, the liquid composition containing a polymer binder dispersed or dissolved in a liquid medium. The laminate further comprises a layer of a polyolefin-based matrix polymer with inorganic filler particles distributed therein and inorganic particles dispersed also in the gas barrier layer from the liquid gas barrier composition. Also disclosed is a method for manufacturing the packaging laminate and a packaging container made from the packaging laminate.

The invention relates to an apparatus and a method for marshalling out individual objects () from a row of such objects (). The apparatus includes two pusher arms () placed one on each side of the row of objects (). The apparatus also includes two arrest pins () on either side of the row, one front () and one rear (). The apparatus further includes a linkage () on each side of the row, axially connected to a pusher arm () and interconnected with each other via a spring (), respectively. The pusher arms () are moved, in a closed position, forwards with the aid of a piston and cylinder assembly () and, in this movement, marshal out the first object () in the row. Thereafter, the pusher arms () open in that they enter into abutment against the front arrest pin (). The linkage () ensures that the pusher arms () assume an open position. The pusher arms () thereafter move backwards in the open position with the aid of the piston and cylinder assembly (). When the pusher arms () enter into abutment against the rear arrest pin (), they begin to close and the linkages () ensure that the pusher arms () assume a closed position, whereafter the operational cycle may be repeated.

Apparatus and a method for marshalling out individual objects from a row of objects

A packaging laminate () comprising a core layer () and a gas barrier layer () of moisture- and liquid-sensitive barrier polymer, e.g. a copolymer of ethylene and vinyl alcohol (EVOH). The packaging laminate () preferably has outer liquid-tight coatings (and) of thermoplastic in order to make for sealing of the packaging laminate by thermosealing. In order to impart increased moisture and liquid protection to the moisture- and liquid-sensitive barrier layer (), the packaging laminate () has a layer () of mineral filled polyolefin between the barrier layer () and the outer, liquid-tight coating () on the one side of the core layer (). A packaging container produced from the packaging laminate () makes for the storage of a packed liquid food, such as juice, wine, cooling oil etc., with so-called extended shelf life.

A method of recovering individual material components such as metal, plastic and, where applicable, paper or cardboard, from waste of laminated packaging material comprising layers of metal, plastic and possibly paper or cardboard. The layers of metal and plastic are separated from each other and from the possibly present paper or cardboard layer by treating the waste with an organic acid or a mixture of organic acids selected from among formic acid, acetic acid, propanoic acid, butyric acid and similar volatile organic acids, preferably acetic acid alone.
