An endoscope tip part for an endoscope for visually inspecting inaccessible places, including a tip housing enclosing a sealed interior space and including a transparent portion; an image sensor viewing in an optical direction through the transparent portion of the tip housing; a light guide component having a light entry surface and a light exit surface; a first light source having a light-emitting surface and being configured to emit light from the light-emitting surface in a central illumination direction; and an electrical circuit in electrical communication with the image sensor and the first light source, wherein the first light source, the image sensor, and the electrical circuit are accommodated in the sealed interior space of the tip housing, wherein the first light source is attached to the light guide component.

Endoscope tip part

An endoscope tip part including a tip housing at least partially enclosing an interior cavity and including a window, and a vision assembly accommodated in the interior cavity and including an imaging subassembly including an image sensor viewing in an optical direction through the window of the tip housing, a light source comprising an illumination surface for emitting light, a separate frame component including a light shielding wall made of an opaque material and extending between the image sensor and the light source so as to at least partially shield the image sensor from light emitted from the light source.

Endoscope tip part with improved optical properties

A tip part for a medical insertion vision device, a method of making the tip part, and a visualization system including the medical insertion vision device. The tip part includes an exterior housing having a distal front wall and a circumferential wall, the distal front wall and the circumferential wall enclosing an interior spacing having a camera compartment at a distal end and a potting compartment proximal of the camera compartment; a camera assembly positioned in the camera compartment, the camera assembly comprising an image sensor and a lens stack positioned distally of the image sensor, the image sensor having a proximal end; a sealing material that forms a seal that seals the camera compartment from the potting compartment; and a potting material in the potting compartment, the sealing material preventing the potting material from extending father distally than the proximal end of the image sensor.
