A touch contact switch having a plane contact arrangement has a cover of elastic material covering the contact arrangement. Contacting in the contacting arrangement takes place only after a deliberate force P' has been applied which causes a partial surface in the switch to arch in the direction of operation of the switch and to cause contacting in the contacting arrangement.

A housing for a hand-held remote control transmitter including a battery, electronic transmission circuit, and a transmission device, including a housing frame having at least one opening for receiving a battery or otherwise accessing the interior of the housing and a cutout for receiving a touch keypad wherein a sealing rim is provided extending into the housing frame surrounding the cutout and an elastic contact mat is compressed against the rim sealing the cutout opening. A cover part is provided for covering the opening and a gasket surrounding the periphery of the opening and of the cover part is compressed between the cover part and the housing frame. Each other opening providing the housing frame is also sealed thereby protecting the contents of housing from liquids and other environmental factors.

Housing for a hand-held remote control transmitter

In a keyboard comprising keys (1) arranged in recesses of a supporting pl (2) and electric contacts of a contact plate (6) disposed below the keys (1) a tilting axis is provided between the key (1) and the supporting plate (2). In order to ensure symmetrical switching behavior a tilting axis is provided on both sides of the key (1). The tilting axes are formed by corners (4, 5) which are abutted at an obtuse angle (W2) by the key (1).
