A device for spreading, compressing or guiding a running material web formed by a rotatably supported roll. The roll has a number of slats distributed over its circumference which can be displaced transversely to the direction of the web. The slats are actively connected with control devices that cause a longitudinal displacement of the slats. Alternating slats are actively connected to different control devices. Half of the slats have an adhesive surface and the other half has a sliding surface.

Device for spreading, compressing and guiding a running material web

A temperature-control device particularly for an offset printing machine for at least two separate liquids in the machine. Dampening solution circulates in a first liquid circulation circuit to printing plates or the like receiving the dampening solution. A first heat exchanger communicates with a cold generator and the first liquid circulation circuit passes through a first heat exchanger. The second cooling solution of the printing machine cools parts of the machine and is in a second liquid circulation circuit. The second liquid circulation circuit passes through the second heat exchanger. After passing through the first heat exchanger, the first liquid circulation circuit also passes through a second heat exchanger, whereby heat is exchanged between the first and second liquid circulation circuits. The second liquid circulation circuit includes a controllable bypass for selectively bypassing the second liquid past the second exchanger. Another bypass in the first circuit selectively directs the first liquid to the printing plates or the like to which the first liquid is to be delivered or bypasses that first liquid application device. A third heat exchanger may provide cold to the second liquid circulation circuit.

Temperature control device in printing machines

A temperature control device for rotating bodies in printing mechanisms. It contains a blowing device having an internal air recirculation circuit for the recirculation of cold air which has been deflected from the rotating body which is to be cooled. A cold air generator is arranged outside the blowing device and is connected for flow to it via a cold air feed line. In this way, energy for the production of cold air is saved and the cold air feed line can have a smaller cross section since only a reduced amount of cold air need be fed.

Temperature-control device for rotating bodies in printing mechanisms

A temperature control system for printing press cylinders. It contains at least one compressed-air line (18) having at least one blast-air opening (20) for blowing cold air against a cylinder (6) which is to be cooled. At least one recirculation circuit (30, 32, 34, 36, 28) which is separate from the cold air of the compressed-air line (28) and by which air which has been blown by the blast-air opening (20) onto the cylinder is drawn off by means of a blower (28) contained in the recirculation circuit and is blown parallel to the cold air again onto the cylinder (6). In this way, the temperature of the cold air (22) can be active, without prior change of temperature, on the cylinder (6). The cold air deflected by the cylinder is returned to the cylinder (6) for additional cooling.

Temperature control system for printing press cylinders

A system for keeping the surface (4) of a rotating cylindrical printing plate (6) of a printing press at a moderate temperature. A cooling air blower girder (2) extends longitudinally over the printing plate surface (4) and blows cold air onto the printing plate surface (4), in order to keep its temperature at a desired value. The blast-air girder (2) contains at least one heat exchanger (52) and at least one blower (60) as well as at least one air-return duct (20, 22), which together forms a cooling air cycle, through which the air, blown onto the printing plate surface (4), is returned to the air inlet of the heat exchanger and, optionally mixed with fresh air, blown by the blower (60) once again through the heat exchanger (52) onto the printing plate surface (4). The blast-air girder (2) represents an energy-saving, compact structural unit for keeping the printing plate surface (4) at a moderate temperature.
