A needle-holding device () suitable in particular as a package comprises a flat needle carrier section () and an adjoining section that has a clamping lip () that is resiliently biased against the needle carrier section (). The clamping lip () reaches around the stitch-forming sections of the needles () which are held lying next to each in contact with each other on the needle carrier section (). The resiliently yielding clamping lip () permits the insertion and the pull-out of one, several or of all the needles ().

Needle-receiving device

A felting needle package () in accordance with the invention consists of a case having the shape of a parallelepiped, said case's interior space being divided by a dividing wall (), said wall extending diagonally with respect to the lateral walls but extending at a right angle with respect to the bottom (). The dividing wall () may have one or more interruptions such as, for example openings for grasping. Additional dividing walls may be provided. In plan view, the dividing walls divide wedge-shaped, i.e., prism-shaped, partial spaces in the package, said partial spaces being disposed to accommodate felting needle bundles that are also wedge-shaped.

The punching die of the invention has a headheld by positive engagement. The headis held on the shaftof the diein that by means of plastic deformation, for instance by radial application of pressure, material is positively displaced radially inward, so that a protrusionis embodied which rests over a large area on the wall of a recess. A more secure, more durable force transition is assured.

Punching device and punching die for it

A knitting tool, such as a selector sinker or a needle for a knitting machine, includes a flat shank and a narrow elongate control spring projecting from a slot-like opening in a narrow side of the shank. One end of the control spring has a broader anchorage section at one end which is inserted into a recess provided at an inward end of the opening in the shank. The width of the recess, measured transversely to the longitudinal extent of the opening, is greater, at least at certain locations, than the width of the opening. The thickness of the anchorage section of the control spring is less than or equal to the depth of the recess. As a result, the control spring is rigidly anchored in the shank in a manner secure against rotation.
