A quick fastener by means of which at least a first and a second component are connectable to each other. The quick fastener includes a fastening bolt having a fastening thread of a first spiral direction, which is fastenable at the second component, and a compressible pretension element which is fastenable at the first component. The compressible pretension element includes a pretension thread at a radial inner side having a second spiral direction opposite to the first spiral direction, a hollow cylindrical thread element which is screwable with an outer thread at a radial outer side into the pretension thread of the pretension element having an inner thread at its radial inner side into which the fastening thread of the fastening bolt is screwable. At least a constructive rotation protection is provided between the hollow cylindrical thread element and the compressible pretension element. A production method for the quick fastener is further provided.

In the case of the method of the invention, the cables of a cable harness are preassembled on a metallic rivet bushing by the cable harness manufacturer in that the cable shoes of the cables are pushed onto the rivet bushing and are prevented from loosening by a subsequently formed upset ridge. The rivet bushing with the attached cables is then delivered to the vehicle manufacturer, who pushes the rivet bushing onto a stud bolt provided on the body part. The rivet bushing with the cables held by it is then immobilized on the stud bolt by a nut. An apparatus for performing the procedure as well as a rivet bushing therefore are also described.

Hybrid component for the fastening of functional elements, in particular in an automobile, which has the following characteristics: a component foot consisting of a blind rivet construction made of metal with which the hybrid component can be rigidly fastened to a structural component; a fastening appendage, which is connected with the component foot and comprises a fastening contour for a functional component, wherein the functional component is made of plastic and is connected with the fastening appendage so that a component can be coupled with the structural component via the functional component and the component foot.

Hybrid component

A mounting assembly for releasably mounting a rear light member to a body member of a vehicle. The mounting assembly comprises a locking member. The locking member includes a sleeve-like mounting portion adapted to be fixed to the support member, and a first locking portion integrally joined to the mounting portion. The first locking portion is adapted to snappingly engage a matingly shaped second locking portion of the structural member for retaining it. The mounting assembly further comprises a release pin axially slidably in the mounting portion of the locking member. The release pin has a shaft portion axially project from the sleeve-shaped mounting portion and is adapted to be axially displaced for releasing the two locking portions from being snappingly engaged.

An adjusting unit for adjusting a spacing between a fixedly mounted first member and a resiliently mounted second member. The adjusting unit comprises an adjusting screw and a sleeve-like receiving member which are adjustable relative to each other via a pair of threads. The adjusting screw has an end provided with an abutment surface adapted to be supported against the resiliently mounted second member, and the receiving member has an annular flange adapted to be supported against the fixedly mounted first member such that the spacing between the first and second members is adjustable by adjusting movements of the adjusting screw relative to the receiving member.

A threaded joining assembly for joining a first member and a second member that includes a nut having a sleeve-shaped body adapted to be fixed within a hole of the first member. The sleeve-shaped body has a threaded bore portion and a smooth bore portion. The bolt comprises first threads threadingly engaging the treaded bore portion of the nut, a fastening portion connected to the second member, and a sealing portion. The sealing portion comprises at least one sealing rib that engages the smooth bore portion of the nut in a sealed, self-locking relationship. The fastening portion comprises a flange engaging the second member and second threads threadingly engaging a lock-nut such that the position of the second member with respect to the first member may be fine adjusted by the bolt and fixed by clamping the second member between the flange of the bolt and the locknut.

A snap-in coupling for releasably connecting a first structural member and a second structural member. The snap-in coupling comprises a female coupling member comprising a plastic support member and a metallic spring clamp, said support member being insertable into a socket provided at said first structural member such that the female coupling member is retained therein, and a male coupling member comprising a mounting portion for being fixed to said second structural member, and a head portion. Said spring clamp and said head portion are arranged to snappingly engage each other when said female coupling member and said male coupling member are inserted into each other.

A locking device of a cover for closing an opening in a wall of a storing compartment. The locking device comprises a casing disposed within said cover, a handle pivotally mounted in said casing so as to be manually pivotal between an extended position and a retracted position in order to allow for lifting said cover from said opening and, respectively, inserting said cover into said opening, a locking bar slidably mounted in said casing so as to be displaceable between a locking position for locking said cover to said wall and an unlocking position for releasing said cover, a return spring for biasing said locking bar from said unlocking position towards said locking position, and latching means arranged to arrest said locking bar in said unlocking position when said cover has been lifted from said opening, and to release said cover when said cover has been inserted into said opening.

A fluid-tight, adjustable and self-locking threaded connection assembly comprising a nut and a bolt. The nut which is adapted to be fixed to a first structural member has a bore comprising a threaded portion and a smooth cylindrical portion. The bolt which is adapted to be removably connected to a second structural member has an intermediate portion provided with a plurality of circumferential sealing lips. The sealing lips are dimensioned with respect to said smooth cylindrical portion of the nut bore such that it is slidingly urged against said smooth portion of the nut bore when the bolt is adjusted relative to the nut. As a result thereof the threaded connection assembly is fluid-tight and self-locking while being adjustable.

A plug-in coupling having vibration damping characteristics. An elastomeric insert member comprising a ball-shaped female part is inserted into a socket integral with a member so as to be positively retained therein. The plug-in coupling can be easily assembled and disassembled.
