An electrically insulating material for high voltage generators is provided. The electrically insulating material comprises a polymer based dielectric material filled with nanoparticles, wherein the voltage at which partial discharges start in the polymer based dielectric material is greater than the voltage at which partial discharges start in an unfilled polymer based dielectric material.

The plug comprises a jacket configured to be inserted into a connection receptacle of a high-voltage electrical appliance in order to connect the cable to the appliance, wherein the jacket includes a recess created therein, and a sleeve positioned around the jacket to form an insulating interface between the jacket and the receptacle, with the sleeve being located in the recess of the jacket and configured to hold the sleeve on the jacket.

A voltage divider of a voltage generator is provided. The divider comprises an input terminal opposite an output terminal, a measurement resistor electrically connected in series between the input terminal and the output terminal, a footer resistor electrically connected in parallel between the output terminal and electrical ground, and a footer capacitor electrically connected in parallel between the output terminal and electrical ground. A value of the footer resistor is at least a magnitude smaller relative to a value the measurement resistor. The divider further includes a reactive bypass component having a first end electrically connected in parallel to the measurement resistor.

A coating element for an electrical junction or circuit that reduces surface electric field densities. The coating element comprises a layer of plastic material laden within or in which there is dispersed conductive particles. The coating element surrounds the junction or circuit such that an inner layer or surface of the element is in contact with the outer layer or surface of the junction or circuit. The plastic material may be an elastomer, a polymer, a polyurethane or a silicone. The conductive particles may be a metal powder of aluminum or stainless steel or graphite. The resistivity of the coating element is between about 1 ohm-cm to about 100 kilohm-cm.

Coating element for an electrical junction and method

A method and device applicable to HV generators and X-ray tubes, and a computer program and support for the program. In the method a determination is made of a scale of values representing the energy of the radio-frequency spectrum transmitted by radio wave over a given period in the electric discharges appearing in the system for a given test voltage, by artificially varying in the system the level of pollution of the system until dielectric failure of the system. A limiting value is chosen embracing the admissible pollution tolerances on manufacture. A measurement is made for each system of the same product type of the quantity of energy of the radio-frequency spectrum transmitted by radio wave by each of the systems under the same conditions. A comparison is made of the quantities measured with the limiting value chosen to determine a possible fluctuation of quality of the systems produced.

Nondestructive method of quality control of high-voltage systems and device for use of the method

A high-voltage power supply unit having electrical components encased in insulating casings which are biodegradable. The insulating casings comprise several superimposed layers, joined together, of sheets of paper, the number of layers being chosen in order to obtain the desired amount of electrical insulation to suit the strength of the electric field surrounding the insulated electrical components when the unit is in operation. This has a application to providing power to X-ray sources.

Modular support for the functional elements of a high-voltage power

A radiogenic unit includes an X-ray tube having an anode disposed at a first end thereof and a cathode disposed at a second end thereof, a high-voltage supply circuit which supplies power to the X-ray tube in single pole mode and which includes a heating transformer for the cathode, and a casing. The casing includes first and second parts imperviously sealed against fluids and X-rays and hermetically sealed to one another. The first part is made of an electrically insulating material, has a first cavity formed therein in which is housed the X-ray tube, and houses a conductive element for the anode. The second part is made of an electrically insulating material and has additional cavities formed therein in which are housed the high-voltage supply circuit. Preferably, the X-ray tube is shielded by three cylinders of different potentials.

Radiogenic unit

A radiogenic unit comprising an X-ray tube with fixed anode made of copper and its circuit for high-voltage supply in single-pole mode, these elements being placed in two parts that are imperviously sealed against fixed against X-rays, secured to each other in a hermetically sealed way. The first part, made of an electrically insulating material, has cavities for the housing of the X-ray tube and its supply circuit. The second part, made of material with high thermal conductivity, comprises a cavity for the housing of the tube, the anode of which is connected to a thermal and electrical frame. It can be applied particularly to radiology instruments.

In a high-voltage power device for X-ray tubes, a single magnetic circuit is used to couple a primary circuit to two separate secondary circuits. Each of these secondary circuits comprises a series of secondary windings, each connected to a rectifier-doubler circuit constituted by diodes, borne by a printed circuit, and by capacitors, borne in a cellular compartment. This arrangement makes it possible notably to double the output high voltage or to obtain perfectly symmetrical high voltages in a device that occupies less space.

The disclosure relates to high-voltage change-over switches that are used to apply high voltage alternately to two X-ray tubes. Each of the four switch devices constituting a change-over switch includes a fixed contact element connected to an input terminal of the high voltage and a movable contact element connected to an output terminal by a curved, flexible strip, the shifting of which is obtained by a hinged arm that is actuated by an insulator sleeve surrounding the strip. The rotation of the sleeve in one direction causes contact through a hole in the wall of the sleeve while rotation in the reverse direction causes the contact elements to move away from each other and gives rise to the interposition of the insulator wall between the contact elements at a distance. The disclosed device can be applied to radiology installations.

A change-over switch comprises four input terminals connected in pairs to one of the two poles +HT and -HT of a high voltage generator and four output terminals connected in pairs to one of two X-ray tubes. It includes two identical half change-over switches with coupled control, each half change-over switch comprising two contact devices, each constituted by a fixed contact element and a movable contact element between which there is interposed an insulation device when the electrical contact is open. The movable contact elements and the insulation device of each half change-over switch are connected to one another to have combined movements.
