The invention relates to an electric motor, in particular an electronically commutated electric motor. The electric motor has a stator, a rotor and a housing, which accommodates at least the stator and the rotor in a cavity. The electric motor also has a power output stage, which is connected to the stator and is designed to energize the stator in order to induce a rotating magnetic field. The power output stage has at least one power semiconductor with a thermal contact area, wherein the thermal contact area is thermally conductively connected to the housing, with the result that heat generated in the power semiconductor can be dissipated to the housing. According to the invention, the housing has a housing cup, which at least partially surrounds the cavity and is preferably thermally conductive and which has a cup wall, wherein the cup wall has a mating contact area corresponding to the thermal contact area.

The present invention concerns a method for eliminating interference in measuring signals (S) which are corrupted by pulsed interference signals (S) having a known or determinable interference pulse interval (T), whereby the detection period (&#x394;t) of an individual measured value (E) is shorter than an interference pulse period (&#x394;t), and a plurality of individual measured values (E) is detected at freely selectable time intervals (T) of the measuring signal (S). A reliable elimination of interferences caused by radio-interference sources transmitting in a pulsed manner is achieved by detecting at least three consecutive individual measured values (E) at time intervals (T) that differ from the interference pulse interval (T), and by determining an interference-filtered measured quantity (M) with the at least three individual measured values (E).

An apparatus includes a plurality of sensor modules that are disposed at spacings with respect to one another, each sensor module having a local oscillator device. The oscillator device generates an oscillator signal that is passed on to a transmit/receive device, and the oscillator signal is radiated. The transmit/receive device is set up such that it can receive signals reflected from the object. A phase detection device is coupled at one input to the oscillator device and at a second input to the transmit/receive device. Based on the oscillator signal and the received reflected signals, the phase detection device determines a phase signal. A control and signal-processing device determines, based on the spacings of the sensor modules with respect to one another and the phase signals, a direction of the object with respect to the sensor module.
