A device () for removing thrombi from blood vessels, wherein the device () has an expanded state in which it is set free temporarily in the blood vessel and a compressed state in which it is introduced into and removed from the blood vessel through a microcatheter, wherein the device () has a proximal (), a middle () and a distal portion (), with the middle portion () having a substantially cylindrical structure and the proximal portion () being coupled to an insertion aid (), and the distal portion () having a substantially cylindrical basic structure, with a constriction () being arranged between the middle () and distal portion (), and the distal portion () being at least partially covered by a membrane (). The inventive device () is characterized by the fact that thrombus fragments becoming detached from the thrombus to be captured are safely retained and removed from the blood vessel.

Thrombectomy device

A device () for introducing endovascular implants (), which have an at least partially cylindrical design, into blood vessels, where the implant () is provided in an expanded state in which the implant is placed in the blood vessel, and in a compressed state, in which the implant can be introduced into the blood vessel, and the device () has an elongated shaft (), the exterior of which is releasably secured to the implant () in the compressed state and through which the implant () runs. Device for introducing implants

A device for introducing an implant () into blood vessels or hollow organs of the human or animal body. The device includes an implant (), an insertion wire () and a release tube (), wherein the implant () is deformable so that it fits into a microcatheter () and expands once the external constraint of the microcatheter () disappears, adapting to the diameter of the blood vessel or hollow organ, wherein a holding element () is arranged on the insertion wire () and the holding element () has at its periphery at least one groove () set into the holding element (), running along the circumference of the holding element () and forming tracks in the form of curved lines, wherein the implant () has holding wired () extending proximally, which are fitted into the grooves ().

Implant insertion system

A medical device substrate with a coating including a functional layer located on the substrate, with the functional layer including at least one sugar alcohol and being bonded to the substrate directly or indirectly via a functionalization of the sugar alcohol. Alternatively, the functional layer may also include other saccharides, in which case it is essential that polymerization of the saccharides takes place only upon bonding to the substrate. The inventive medical device exhibits reduced platelet adhesion and aggregation.

Vasospasm treatment

The invention relates to an implant for vascular applications that can be transported by means of a catheter and is intended in particular to influence the blood flow in the area of arteriovenous malformations, such as fistulas and aneurysms, to fill the saclike dilation of the malformation, promote thrombus formation and cover the neck of the malformation. The implant according to the invention is provided with an occlusion unit () having a three-dimensional shape constructed from several subunits () from a framework of struts (), with a covering, preferably a membrane (), being located between struts ().

An implant () to be used for the occlusion of bifurcation aneurysms, with the implant () having an expanded state in which it is implanted in the blood vessel (Z) and a contracted state in which it is movable through the blood vessel (Z) and a proximal fixing section () a distal section () where the implant () is radially widened relative to the fixing section () and which is intended for placement in or in front of the aneurysm (A), and a transition section () located between the fixing section () and the distal section (), wherein the implant ().
