A toothbrush comprising a handle and a head supported at one end of the handle. The head includes a portion extending from the handle and having bristles mounted thereon. The head also includes a series of bristle tuft carriers based from the handle extension portion. Each bristle tuft carrier retains at least one tuft of bristles. A region between the bristle tuft carriers and the handle extension portion includes an elastomeric material configured to provide resilient flexing of the bristle tuft carriers with respect to the handle extension during tooth brushing, so that the bristles and the bristle tuft carriers move relative to the bristles on the handle extension portion.

A toothbrush comprising a handle with a head includes a base end facing the handle in a tip end remote from the base end. The head adjoins the handle at the base end of the head, and the head and the handle are disposed along the longitudinal toothbrush axis. The head also includes a substantially rigid base region joining the toothbrush handle and extending from the base end of the head to a link region situated between the base end and the tip end. The head further includes a tip region extending from the tip end of the head to the link region, such that the tip region is flexibly and resiliently linked at the link region to the base region and the base region extends for at least 60% of the distance between the base end of the head and the tip of the head.

The invention relates to an adhesive stick having a plunger anchoring the stick composition and a sleeve surrounding the stick composition, in which the propelling device for the upward and downward moving of the stick composition, which device at the same time serves as the actuating element, is formed together with the sleeve and the plunger as a one-part injection moulding. This propelling and actuating element (1) is designed in the form of a plate and is provided with lateral reinforcing webs (2) and is bonded on both sides to the plunger plate (0); it has at the vertex a pressure plate (3). Anchorage elements for the stick composition on the plunger plate (0) are designed in the form of bristles (6).

A toothbrush having a handle and at one end having a bristle-bearing head which is in the form of one or more segments which are flexibly and/or resiliently linked to each other. Optionally, the head may also be flexibly and/or resiliently linked to the handle. The grooves between the linked segments of the head are wholly or partly filled with an elastomeric material. In one aspect, the bristle-bearing head of the toothbrush is attached to the handle by a frame which wholly or partly surrounds the head and is an integral extension of the handle.

A refill cartridge for a stick product dispenser, for stick products including adhesive sticks, lipsticks, release agent sticks, shaving soap sticks, coloring sticks, and so forth, is provided by molding the stick product material to have a shape substantially the same as the internal shape of the associated dispenser casing or holder, and to fill the free internal volume of the holder. When the stick product originally within the dispenser is used, the refill cartridge is partially inserted into an open end of the empty dispenser holder, and the cartridge is either pushed or drawn into the dispenser, for refilling the same with the desired stick product, and permitting nonconsumable portions of the stick product dispenser to be repeatedly reused via such refilling.

A process for producing a stick of adhesive, having a rotatable base part with rotary spindle, which spindle is engaged in a holding element for the stick material (plunger, small basket, anchoring disc), which holding element is fitted into a sleeve surrounding the stick material. The rotary spindle, provides controlling movement of the stick-shaped adhesive material either up or down. The sleeve (2) together with the plunger (1) is formed in a one-part injection molding which is joined, via predetermined breaking points (3), to the sleeve wall. For the assembly, the base part, with rotary spindle is pushed through a centered recess in the plunger until the lower periphery of the sleeve comes to rest against the upper part of the base part. The adhesive stick material is then poured into the unit thus formed (sleeve, plunger and base part with rotary spindle), and, after the filling operation is complete, the rotatable base part is actuated and, as a result, the plunger is lifted into the intended end position (10), with tearing off of the predetermined breaking points. The structural arrangement for carrying out the process, consists of: a) a rotatable base part (7), a rotary element (7B) and a rotary spindle (7A), the base part having two support plates (9A, 9B), and b) a one-part injection molding, comprising a sleeve part (2) which is open at both ends and a plunger (1) with predetermined breaking points (3).
