A filling level indicator for determining a filling level in a tank, having a resistor network, a contact element, and a magnetic element. The contact element is spaced apart from the resistor network and the magnetic element is movable relative to the resistor network and the contact element. The contact element has a contact region deflectable by the magnetic element. An electrically conductive connection between the contact region and the resistor network is produced by deflection of the contact region. The contact region is formed by a planar tape-shaped element and the contact region has contact portions that are spaced apart from one another in the circumferential direction. The contact portions are separated from one another by separation regions.

Filling level indicator

A filling level indicator for determining a filling level in a tank, having a resistor network, a contact element, and a magnetic element. The contact element is arranged spaced apart from the resistor network, and the magnetic element can be moved relative to the resistor network and the contact element. An electrically conductive connection can be established between the contact element and the resistor network by deflecting the contact element. A plastic spacer element is arranged between the resistor network and the contact element and is hot-swaged to the resistor network and/or to the contact element.

A filling level indicator for determining a filling level in a tank includes: a resistor network; a contact element arranged spaced apart from the resistor network; and a magnetic element movable relative to the resistor network and the contact element. The contact element has a contact region deflectable by the magnetic element. The contact region is deflectable so as to produce an electrically conductive connection between the contact region and the resistor network. The contact region comprises a planar tape-shaped element that is partially deflectable by a magnetic force of the magnetic element. The contact region has at least two portions that are arranged mutually adjacent to, and mutually spaced apart from, one another.

Passive magnetic position sensor

A filling level indicator includes a retainer, a bow rotatably supported on the retainer and having a lever arm fastened thereto, a float fastened to the lever arm, and a filling level sensor arranged in the retainer. The filling level sensor has a substrate, a resistance network arranged thereon, a contact spring structure, and a cover, connected to the substrate, that covers the resistance network and the contact spring structure. A magnet is connected to the bow or the lever arm and acts on the contact spring structure such that an electrical signal corresponding to the filling level is generated according to the pivoting range. The mount has a wall thickness that can be penetrated by the magnetic field of the magnet, and so metal particles are held on the outside of the mount by the magnetic field of the magnet.

A device for contacting at least one conducting track has a contact spring that is connected to a pivotable bow by a pivot bearing. The contact spring also has spring elements connected in series for preloading contacts against the conducting track. An axis of the pivot bearing is arranged parallel to the direction of motion of the contacts over the conducting tracks.

A signal transmitter for a filling level sensor has two sliding contacts which are manufactured integrally with a holder and with spring elements. This leads to the manufacturing costs of the signal transmitter being particularly low. The sliding contacts are arranged on spring tongues and are connected to one another via a link. The spring tongues and the spring elements are therefore arranged in a row and allow the sliding contacts to be prestressed particularly uniformly against sliding tracks of the signal transmitter.

A magnetic passive position sensor including a base plate and a cover which form a housing, a magnet that can be moved outside the housing, a resistance network that has several individual electric contacts, and a plurality of contact spring elements that are arranged within the range of motion of the magnet, are interconnected by a common base, and consist of a bending zone and a contact zone. The contact spring elements face the contacts of the resistance network in such a way that the contact zones can be moved from the magnets against the contacts of the resistance network, the contact zones of at least two contact spring elements being assigned to each individual contact of the resistance network. Two adjoining contact spring elements are mechanically interconnected.

Magnetic passive position sensor

In the case of a filling level sensor () for detecting a fuel filling level in a fuel tank (), a lever arm () which secures a float () has a guide part (). The guide part () interacts with an installation opening () in the fuel tank () and deflects the lever arm () in a designated direction. This avoids the filling level sensor () being damaged during installation in the fuel tank ().

Filling level sensor

A filling level sensor having a lever arm which has a float at one end and is held at its other end by a clip. A resistance network is arranged on a substrate and to which a contact structure is assigned, the resistance network producing an electrical signal for the filling level as a function of the pivoted position of a lever arm. The clip is composed of an electrically conductive plastic and has an electrical contact connected to the clip in an electrically conductive way, such that as the lever arm pivots said contact describes a circular path on the substrate. The area on the substrate over which the electrical contact passes is an electrically conductive contact face and is electrically conductively connected to a connecting line of the filling level sensor.

The invention relates to a level transmitter, having a lever arm which carries a float at one end and is received by a bracket at its other end, a support made of synthetic material, a bearing arranged on the support for the brackets and/or the lever arm, a level sensor arranged on the support and comprising a cover and a substrate, a resistor network arranged on this substrate and associated with a contact structure, with the electrical connection of the contact structure generating, with the resistor network and as a function of the pivotal position of a lever arm, an electrical signal indicating the level, and having at least one permanent magnet for actuating the contact structure. The bracket is made of an electrically conductive synthetic material and, at least in the region between the bearing and the cover, the support is made of an electrically conductive synthetic material.

The support () is fastened to a swirl pot () while the holding part () bears a lever arm () that supports a float (). The inventive level sensor () can be adjusted to different fuel tank dimensions by mounting said level sensor () differently on the support ().

In a level sensor () for a fuel tank, one end of a lever wire () is located at a distance from a bearing () of a bracket (). The bracket () has two limbs () of which one holds the lever wire () and the other controls the signal transmitter (). This enables the level sensor () to be calibrated in a particularly easy manner.
