A device for applying medication fluid on mucus membrane in interior of body cavities has a manually actuatable pump element mountable on a medication supply container for discharging a medication fluid and having an outlet, an insertion tube having one end connected with the outlet and provided with a through going longitudinal opening, a distributor body connected with an opposite end of the insertion tube and having an outer shape and a volume to correspond to a body cavity to be treated, the distributor body having a plurality of outlet openings distributed over its outer surface and communicating through an interior of the distributor body with the insertion tube so that a medication fluid supplied under pressure is a discharged from the outlet openings over an outer surface of the distributor body.

A pump dispenser has a plunger lock-up feature in which the plunger is positively retained against dislodgement by cradling projections on the piston stem against abutment shoulders of a locking sleeve which is fixed within the pump body of the dispenser. The pump body may be of an integral one-piece construction with the container closure, and the container vent opening is controlled by an upstanding sleeve on the piston cup for preserving the integrity of the piston seals.

The invention relates to an apparatus containing two syringes whose outlets terminate in a spray head with spray nozzle (atomizer). This apparatus is suitable for spraying, and where appropriate applying to a surface, two liquids as mixture. These liquids are preferably the components of an adhesive system, especially of a tissue adhesive.

A manually actuated upright/inverted pump sprayer having a piston controlled container vent path, an auxiliary liquid intake port for inverted spray being spaced closer to the inner side of the container seal gasket compared to the spacing of the container vent port therefrom so as to preclude the spontaneous ingestion of air bubbles from the open vent path into the pump chamber through such intake port during inverted spray.

In an atomizing pump for dosed atomization and application of water solutions a boundary-surface-active composition from the class of surfactant is provided in an inner chamber at least during operation of the pump. The boundary-surface-active composition can be supplied into the inner chamber between inlet and outlet valves and/or located upstream of the inlet valve and introduced into the inner chamber during first working strokes in more concentrated form than the solution to be atomized.
