Apparatus for monitoring and providing visual representations of the operating conditions of machine tool parameters, in particular for program-controlled turning, milling, and drilling machines, which have a machining unit displaceable in a plurality of coordinate axes, in which a work spindle for exchangeable receiving a machining tool and an electric motor for driving the work spindle are mounted. The machine tool includes a control unit and means for monitoring the operating state of the machine tool. The monitoring apparatus has at least one sensor for detecting at least one operating parameter of the machine tool. An evaluating unit is connected to both the sensor and the control unit and processes the measurement values detected by the sensor. An optical display is provided in the direct viewing range of the operator, which viewing range includes the machine operating spindle, tool holder, tool, and workplace. The optical display can display a normal, a critical, and a dangerous operating state of the machine tool in accordance with the data from the evaluating unit.

Apparatus for monitoring and providing visual representations of the operating conditions of machine tool parameters

Provided is a machine tool with a machine rack constructed of structural parts and components mounted thereon, the components including functional components. The functional components generate heat during the operation of the machine tool which is input into the structural parts and/or the components by heat transport. The machine tool may also include a flow channel system disposed on the structural parts and/or the components of the machine tool in which a tempering medium is circulated such that the heat generated by the functional components is distributed in the machine rack and/or the components as a result of the passage of the tempering medium.

A device for operating an automated machine for handling, assembling or machining workpieces, comprising: a display apparatus having a screen for displaying a graphic user interface for controlling and/or monitoring machine functions of the machine, an operating apparatus for inputting command-triggering operator actions for controlling functions of the machine and controlling functions of the graphic user interface, and a controller for implementing input command-triggering operator actions into control commands for controlling functions of the machine and/or functions of the graphic user interface. The apparatus for inputting contact-free operator actions includes: a sensor system for detecting contact-free actions of the operator and a detecting unit for picking up a command-triggering operating action of the operator by means of the contact-free operator actions detected by the sensor system.

Device for operating an automated machine for handling, assembling or machining workpieces

A tool handling device for machine tools, comprising a tool magazine having a transfer position for the transfer of the tools, including a tool changer movable between the transfer position and an exchange position, which has a rotatable double gripper, and a supporting structure movable on a foundation, on which the tool changer is mounted. In order to achieve fast tool changes in tight spaces on the machine, the supporting structure has an upper slide and a lower slide which can both be displaced by means of spindle drives in the same direction on a foundation, wherein a single drive motor is provided for driving the two spindle drives.

Tool handling device for machine tools

The subject-matter of the invention is a machining unit for a milling and drilling machine, comprising a spindle housing () which is supported on a machine part and can be moved in a longitudinal direction, a milling head () mounted on the face end of the spindle housing (), a work spindle () supported in the milling head () and comprising an electric drive motor, and an energy and working stock supply to the milling head () formed of bunched lines and cables. The bunched lines and cables for the energy and working stock supply are disposed inside the spindle housing () in the shape of a string () and introduced into the milling head () via a rotary transmission leadthrough () on the face.

Machining unit for a milling and drilling machine

A tool shelf magazine for milling and drilling machines has at least one shelf, a plurality of compartments provided in the shelf above each other at predetermined intervals and also a plurality of notches, which are open on one side accommodating one suspended tool. A handling device is vertically and horizontally shiftable by means of a motor located adjacent to the shelf. At least one gripper arrangement is provided for extracting predetermined tools from the shelf and for transferring them to a tool changer. At least one shelf has compartments with notches serving as tool accommodations on the front and back side. The notches on the front side are located in the access range of the handling device and the notches on the back side are accessible for retooling. The shelf is formed so as to be rotatable about an axis for a change of sides.

Tool shelf magazine

A machine tool for machining large-area workpieces. A column can be moved along one coordinate axis over a long bed. A machining unit, movable at the movable column along at least two other coordinate axes, has a pivotable working spindle. At least one approximately plate-like work carrier can be pivoted from a horizontal set-up position into a vertical machining position. A tripod configuration of the machining unit has a central support pipe and three telescopic legs spaced about 120&#xb0; with respect to one another. The movable column has, in a central recess, a universal bearing supporting the central support pipe. In each of two lower and one upper recesses a universal bearing for the telescopic legs is provided. A retainer supporting the pivotable working spindle is positioned next to the work area on one end of the central support pipe and is rotatable about an axis of the central support pipe.

Machine tool

A relatively compact, program-controlled, universal combined milling and boring machine having a horizontal base as a support for a work table, a machine frame and a supporting system for at least one spindle head. The spindle head contains a dimensionally stable central tube, a spindle head support mounted on the lower end thereof, three telescopic bars arranged at a solid angle displacement of about 120&deg; and coupled to the spindle head support in universal bearings, and an upper support member having universal bearings for the central tube and for each telescopic bar. The machine frame is preferably provided together with the base as an integrated, dimensionally stable, support structure and has two side walls, a top, front traverse and a lower rear wall. The supporting member of the supporting system is inclined between the top side of rear wall and the traverse.

Universal combined milling and boring machine

A machine tool for cutting workpieces, the machine tool having a tool slide shiftable on or along a machine tool table as support of a machining unit. The machining unit has at least one work spindle and a workpiece support for receiving the workpieces to be machined. For enabling fast machining including an accurate and rapid positioning of the machining unit with as few linear guidances as possible, the tool slide has a transverse support shiftably guided on or along the machine tool table and also has two cross slides shiftable in its longitudinal direction. The machining unit is jointedly arranged between the cross slides via a coupling mechanism having at least two dimensionally stable swivel arms for axially moving the work spindle.
