Erecting mechanism for a swivel-up rollover bar for vehicles, in particular for four-seat convertibles, having a bar leg which is supported in a swivel bearing on one vehicle side and which can be swivelled about a transverse axis of the vehicle and has a supporting section which is remote from the swivelling axis and serves to support the vehicle during a rollover movement the supporting section of the bar leg is swivelled up on a curved path which extends, at least over a partial swivelling angle, around the swivel bearing on a path different from a circular arc by virtue of the fact that the useful length of the bar leg varies with the stroke.

Erecting mechanism for a swivel-up rollover bar

A wind guard is disclosed for a convertible which is arranged behind a row of seats, extends up beyond this row of seats and runs over the entire width of the interior space and which is formed by a stretched, elastically deformable net which effects a retardation of the air flow appearing from the rear. To further develop a net used here, with regard to an optimum influence on the air flow appearing from the rear, the portion of the clear passage openings to the total net area is about 30 to 35%, the individual passage openings are defined all round by webs extending approximately at right angles to one another and having a round to oval cross-sectional shape, and the wall thickness of the webs is about 0.15 to 0.3 mm.

Wind guard for a convertible interior space

The application relates to a convertible automobile with a windscreen which is arranged behind a row of seats and which extends vertically upwards and beyond the top of the seats and which extends for the entire interior width of the vehicle. In order to develop a windscreen of this type in such a way that annoying draft phenomena are prevented while the typical 'convertible feel' is maintained, the windscreen is formed by a stretched elastically deformable net which causes a deceleration of the air flow impinging from the rear of the vehicle towards the front.

Windscreen for a convertible automobile

The application relates to a windscreen for a convertible with an approximately U-shaped roll bar pivotable about a transverse axis of the vehicle into an approximately horizontal position of rest. The windscreen has a first part pivotable upwards behind a front seat row and a second part horizontally covering the space behind the seat row approximately level with the belt line of the vehicle. The two windscreen parts are connected pivotably to one another with the first part resting on the second part in its position of rest. In order to ensure especially simple actuation the roll bar, movable by means of a convenient drive mechanism, is utilized to shift the first part of the windscreen into its directed operating position.

Windscreen arrangement for a convertible

A convertible motor vehicle is provided with a wind-deflecting cover which covers the space behind a front row of seats at the top. A windscreen is secured on the cover and, in the operative position, projects approximately vertically from the level of the upper edge and can be lowered into an out-of-use position. The windscreen is formed by a roller blind having a winding-up roller fixed at a forward boundary edge of the cover. An alternative arrangement for accommodating a windscreen on the cover in the out-of-use position forms a single unit with the cover which has two panels resting one upon the other and arranged to be swivelled open at a hinge. Opposite to this hinge, the windscreen is swivellably fixed at a forward boundary edge of the lower panel and can be swiveled in between these panels.

Convertible with a wind-deflecting cover

A device collects and discharges the splashed water thrown up by a vehicle wheel, and comprises a plurality of collection channels which are disposed side by side and spaced apart. The channels are held on the wheel arch of the vehicle in a position facing a tire tread, and collection channel openings, inclined downwards in their longitudinal direction, are each covered over by a respective recessed rebound wall on which a part of the impinging splashed water is thrown back into the associated collection channel. In order to enable greater efficiency of the device in the collection of splashed water to be achieved, the rebound walls associated with the collection channels are each, as viewed in cross-section, in the form of arcuately curved guide vanes, whereby a major part of the impinging splashed water is deflected by return flushing into the collection channel openings.

Splashed water collecting and discharging device for a motor vehicle

A wheel cover for catching spray water, dirt or the like, which, in its operating position, is located opposite to and at a distance from the tread periphery of the associated wheel and protrudes downwards relative to the level of the vehicle floor and which can be moved upwards into a non-operating position in which it is substantially retracted into the body of the vehicle. No complicated guide is necessary for the changeover of the wheel cover between its operating position and its non-operating position, since it is hinged on the body of the vehicle and can be pivoted to take up the non-operating position under the vehicle floor.

Wheel cover for catching spray water, dirt or the like

A convertible has a windscreen arranged behind a row of seats and extending upwards in the operating position approximately perpendicularly between two adjustable side panes. The panes are height-adjustable on a path which is curved with respect to the vehicle passenger compartment and can be lowered into an out-of-use position in the direction of the vehicle floor. The panes are also adjustable with auxiliary force actuation, and an entrainer which acts between a side pane and the windscreen is arranged on at least one of the side panes. By means of the entrainer, the position of the windscreen can be changed in accordance with the movement of the side pane. Thus, it is possible to compensate the transverse path of the side pane with respect to the windscreen by way of the entrainer.

Convertible windscreen

A releasable fastening device, especially for attachments on convertibles, by means of which the attachment can be snapped reversibly without further aids to the convertible body. A hook part connected pivotably to the attachment via a tensioning device can be hooked at a body part bordering a receptacle on the convertible body and can be braced against the receptacle by means of the tensioning device, after which the fastening device is fixed in its end position by means of a beyond dead-center position of the tensioning device. Distance tolerances between the receptacle and attachment can be compensated by a change of length within the tensioning device. The tensioning device is formed only by a flexural spring which is pivotably mounted at one end on the hook part and at the other end on the attachment.

Releasable fastening device, especially for attachments on convertibles

A water conduit for water accumulating in lateral areas of the windshield of a motor vehicle. The conduit includes a main water channel formed by a molding extending at a spacing in front of the windshield and by another residual water channel located farther towards an outside. The main water channel leads without substantial deflection in a transverse direction of the vehicle to a trough or interruption, with the channel extending in the roof approximately in parallel to a longitudinal axis of symmetry of the vehicle. The residual water channel lies within an envelope line of a contour of the motor vehicle and is continued above lateral door cutouts of the motor vehicle to a rear portion of the motor vehicle.

Water conduit for a lateral area of a windshield of a motor vehicle

A motor vehicle body, especially for passenger motor vehicles, which is provided with laterally arranged doors and longitudinal bearers disposed therebelow whereby an upper area of the longitudinal bearer projects laterally outwardly beyond the lower area, and the upper area is at least partially covered off by the lower edge of the door or by a sealing profile secured at the lower edge of the door and is thus protected against soiling; the lower edge of the door or the sealing profile secured at the lower edge of the door thereby does not abut the longitudinal bearer but extends at a distance with respect thereto.

Motor vehicle body, especially for passenger motor vehicles

A passenger space ventilation system for motor vehicles in which stale passenger air is removed toward the outside through openings within the rear area of the body and in which after leaving the passenger space but prior to the discharge into the air flow about the vehicle, the exhaust air from the passenger space is conducted past heated vehicle parts for cooling the same. The air guidance for the stale passenger space air consists at least within the area of the heated vehicle parts of air-guide channels which are formed on the side facing an interior of the vehicle of molded parts that consist of heat-insulating material.

Passenger space ventilation system for motor vehicles

An air-guide installation for motor vehicles, especially station wagons, which is constructed as profile bar that projects from the vehicle outer body panel within the transition area between roof and rear part, extends in the vehicle transverse direction and is effective as spoiler; the profile bar is thereby adapted to be extended away from the outer body panel so that an air-guide channel results between the outer body panel and the bottom side of the profile bar.

An aggregate space for the battery, wiper motor, relays and similar vehicle aggregates arranged within the area of the engine space of a motor vehicle, which is subdivided from the engine space, properly speaking, by at least one partition wall and is constructed as a space that is closed but readily accessible; the space is also adapted to be vented by inlet and discharge openings which are arranged at special locations to utilize a high pressure drop.
