A method for releasably connecting a fitted device () to a piece of furniture () uses a connecting device (). The fitted device () includes an attachment element () disposed on its housing (), and the connecting device () includes an at least two-part connecting element () and a mounting gauge (). The method involves inserting the fitted device () into an installation recess () adjacent to the piece of furniture; aligning the fitted device () relative to the piece of furniture (); positioning the mounting gauge () on the attachment element (); connecting, guided by the mounting gauge (), a first part () of the connecting element () to the piece of furniture; removing the mounting gauge (); and fixing the fitted device () on the piece of furniture () by connecting a second part () of the connecting element () to the first part.

A cooking appliance () includes a cooking chamber () heatable by a heating device (), a cooking chamber opening (), a cooking chamber door () closing off the cooking chamber opening (), and a control device () for controlling the heating device (). The cooking chamber door () has a multi-pane construction having a first pane () and a second pane (). A detector device () operatively connected to the control device () is actuated by the cooking chamber door (). In addition, a locking device () between the first () and the second pane () includes a locking element (), which is held preloaded in an initial state () between the first () and the second pane (), and if the first pane () is defective, the locking element () is automatically displaced to a locking position (), thereby preventing a complete closure of the cooking chamber door ().

Cooking appliance

In order to specify a household appliance in which the accessory part, in its resting position, is stored in the household appliance in such a way that the user can access the household appliance without obstruction and, at the same time, a high degree of security against malfunction is guaranteed, the signal exchange between the transmission or transmission/reception device () of the accessory part () and the electric control system () occurs wirelessly and the accessory part (), in its resting position, is mounted in a storage element () of the household appliance at least partly consisting of an electrically conductive material, said storage element electrically shielding the transmission or transmission/reception device () of the accessory part () from the electric control system () so that signal exchange is prevented.
