A method for stabilizing an unstable driving state in a single-track vehicle, in particular a motorcycle, wherein a prespecified driving situation, in particular braking, particularly while driving in a straight trajectory or a nearly straight trajectory, is detected; at least one yaw rate ({dot over (&#x3c8;)}) and/or one side slip angle (&#x3b2;) of the vehicle is determined for the detection of an unstable driving state of the vehicle; the determined yaw rate ({dot over (&#x3c8;)}) and/or the determined side slip angle (&#x3b2;) is/are evaluated; and when an unstable driving stat is detected, the braking torque of one wheel, in particular the front wheel, is reduced. A device for stabilizing an unstable driving state in a single-track vehicle is also disclosed.

The present invention describes a method for detecting a tire pressure drop in motor vehicle tires by comparing ratios of tire pressures from select pairs of vehicle tires and detecting a prelimimary pressure drop by checking whether at least one reference value includes a predetermined minimum difference from a nominal value for this reference value.

The present invention relates to a method of detecting the roll angle of a cornering vehicle which comprises at least one axle and at least two wheels, the vehicle being equipped with a transverse acceleration sensor means which senses the transverse acceleration that acts on the center of gravity of the automotive vehicle generally in the horizontal plane of the vehicle. To provide a method which does not require an additional sensor means and is virtually independent of given vehicle characteristics or dimensions, the component of the transverse acceleration which essentially acts in the horizontal plane of the vehicle is detected by the transverse acceleration sensor means during cornering. In addition, a condition variable which is correlated to the centrifugal acceleration acting on the center of gravity is detected, and the roll angle of the vehicle is calculated from the difference between the detected component of the transverse acceleration and the determined centrifugal acceleration, the said difference being weighted with a factor.
