A pivoting device for a shutter (51) is arranged in the area of the insertion opening of the loading mechanism of a magnetic-tape-cassette apparatus, which shutter is pivotable into an open position during the loading and unloading process of a magnetic-tape cassette (66), after which it resumes its closed position. The magnetic-tape cassette (66) is mechanically drawn inwards from a take-over position (E) and subsequently lowered into a play position (68) by a slide (9) with the aid of a motor drive, from which play position it is lifted and is moved to the take-over position (E) by the slide (9) during unloading. A lever arrangement (52) for the actuation of the shutter (51) is constructed in such a manner that during mechanically produced cassette movements, during which the mechanical drive is loaded to an increased extent, the lever arrangement is disengaged from the mechanical drive by an actuating rod (57). The actuating rod is actuated by the slide (9) and is movable in the insertion and the eject direction by the slide (9), and moves in the eject direction (70) during unloading and during this movement opens the shutter via a two-arm coupling lever (54). The shutter (51) is disengaged from the slide (9) during the loading process.

A magnetic tape cassette apparatus having a control device for controlling drive mechanism functions including the drawing in and ejection of a cassette. A control rod is longitudinally displaceable backwards and forwards by a servo motor between end points on its path of movement and, in certain operating positions, controls drive mechanism functions in conjunction with switching transmitters and a logic circuit. A catch rod is movably guided on the control rod in the longitudinal direction of the latter. The catch rod is lockable to the control rod and is mechanically coupled to the loading mechanism of the drive mechanism. The catch rod and the control rod act on a control switch to feed commands imparted by switch actuators on the rods to the logic circuit, which forms switching commands therefrom for apparatus functions.

The invention relates to a magnetic tape cassette apparatus with a drive mechanism which serves for playing magnetic tape cassettes, has a cassette loading mechanism to which there belongs a cassette tray (15) which accommodates the magnetic tape cassette and is guided by laterally projecting pins (16) in fixed vertical guideways (6) for the purpose of lowering into a playing position and raising into an eject position, the pins (16) reaching in addition through slots (14) of a slide (9) which slope relative to the vertical, the guideways (6) having have only a vertical longitudinal extension for lowering and raising the cassette tray (15) and the draw-in and eject movement of the magnetic tape cassette being taken over by a cassette catch (17) which is movable by an actuating lever (21) between an eject and a draw-in position, the actuating lever (21) pivotably coupled to the slide (9) simultaneously being moved via the displacement movement of the slide for the purpose of drawing in and ejecting the cassette.
