A device for generating a vector-modulated output signal based on a baseband signal having an in-phase component and a quadrature component, a first LO signal for the in-phase component of the baseband signal and a second LO signal for the quadrature component of the baseband signal comprises a baseband combination circuit, which is configured to combine the in-phase component and the quadrature component in order to obtain a plurality of combined IQ signals. Furthermore, the device includes a plurality of mixer cells for generating the vector-modulated output signal, based on the combined IQ signals, the first LO signal and the second LO signal.

A voltage-controlled oscillator circuit compensates for supply voltage fluctuations of the oscillator and thus for frequency fluctuations at the oscillator output. An additional voltage-controlled capacitor is connected in parallel with the voltage-controlled capacitor of the LC resonant circuit. The control terminal of the second voltage-controlled capacitor is coupled to the supply voltage terminal, which feeds the oscillator circuit. The oscillator circuit can be monolithically integrated and can be employed in phase-locked loops, for example.

An oscillator circuit is specified, having an LC resonator, to which two or more current paths are connected, which are connected in parallel with one another and can be connected and disconnected individually by switches. The attenuation compensation amplifiers are in this case coupled to the resonant circuit in order to compensate for its attenuation. The oscillator circuit allows the gradient of the compensation for the attenuation of the resonant circuit to be adjusted, without moving the operating point of the amplifiers. This makes it possible to compensate for manufacturing-dependent component tolerances and any amplitude discrepancy caused by them, in a simple way. The oscillator circuit is suitable, for example, for use in voltage-controlled oscillators in order to form phase-locked loops when using mass production technologies.
