Stable, organic multi-component dispersions

A co-grafted polymer dispersion comprising blocks of an organopolysiloxane with OH functional groups, blocks of an ethylene/vinyl ester copolymer containing about 5 to 99% by weight of incorporated vinyl ester, and blocks of vinyl monomer units polymerized in the presence of mixtures of the organopolysiloxane and ethylene/vinyl ester copolymer, the organopolysiloxane and ethylene/vinyl ester copolymer blocks being linked via vinyl polymer bridges. The dispersions mixed with suitable catalysts, can cure under the influence of atmospheric moisture to elastic tack-free rubbers suitable as sealants.

Crosslinked silicone-vinyl polymer systems

A co-grafted polymer comprising units of organopolysiloxanes with OH functional groups, polyesters and vinyl monomers, polymeric units of the vinyl monomers being linked to the organopolysiloxane and polyester units, is produced by polymerizing a suitable monomer dispersion. The product is suited for replacing all or some of the organopolysiloxane component in room temperature curable compositions containing organopolysiloxanes, silane cross-linking agents and a curing catalyst.

Organo-polysiloxane-polyester-vinyl graft copolymers
