A portable tool for tying an object, in particular a cable harness, using a strip, comprising a tool element with a cycle controller arranged in the tool element, a clamping device, and a drive for the clamping device. The drive is designed as a dual drive such that the cycle controller and the clamping device each have a dedicated drive, said drives being actuated independently by a controller. By providing a dedicated drive for the clamping device in this manner, interfering influences from the cycle controller are eliminated. Thus, a more precise clamping process can be carried out with high reproducibility, thereby improving the quality of the tying process.

Arrangement for binding an object, in particular cable harness

Arrangement for binding objects by means of a band loop

A tool for tying an article, in particular a cable harness, by means of a tape, which tool comprises a tool body (1), a push rod (10) guided therein, which pushes the tape (6) into a wrapping position around the article to be tied, and a drive device for the push rod (10). The drive device for the push rod comprises a carriage (15) that is guided on the tool body (1) and moved forwards and backwards by means of a crank (12, 13), and a pinion (20) that is rotatably mounted on the carriage (15), rolls on a running track (21) arranged parallel to the carriage guide (16, 17) and, on its opposite side, engages directly or by means of a larger gear wheel (19) that is connected in terms of rotation into the push rod (10) which, at least in the region of movement of the carriage (15), is guided parallel to the latter.

Tool for tying a cable harness

A tool for tensioning a band and for actuating a band fastening and/or for cutting off the band at the end of the tensioning operation has a pressure-medium operated tensioning drive, a pressure-medium operated actuating drive and a valve arrangement which, when a predetermined pressure is attained at the tensioning drive, liberates the supply of pressure medium to the actuating drive. An accurately reproducible band tension is achieved by virtue of the fact that the valve arrangement comprises a reducing valve, which is connected to the tensioning drive by a pressure-medium supply line and can be set to the reducing pressure corresponding to the desired band tension. The pressure-medium supply line contains a restrictor. The valve arrangement comprises a pressure-medium actuated reversing valve, which is connected to the actuating drive and which is pressurized, with the aim of liberating the pressure-medium supply to the actuating drive, by the pressure obtaining at the tensioning drive as well as by a spring. With the opposite aim, it is pressurized by the pressure present in front of the restrictor in the pressure-medium supply line.
