A process and device for texturing a thread within a false twist texturing device with a heat exchanger having thread passages formed by thread passage segments. The heat exchanger possesses a first section and a second section which form a chamber into which a fluid can flow to treat a thread during operation of the heat exchanger. The first and second sections of the heat exchanger can be manipulated to enlarge the thread passages to facilitate insertion of the thread. After the thread insertion, the heat exchanger is sealable in such a manner that the thread passages seal around the thread to prevent leakage of the fluid from the chamber while allowing the thread to be movable through the heat exchanger.

Method for feeding in and starting a thread and false twist texturing device

In entangling nozzles for entangling a plurality of filaments, a device is proposed which can be integrated into warping systems or the like, in which the entangling nozzles are arranged on a traverse which is movable with respect to the air-feed beam, the movement of the traverse taking place manually or pneumatically, against compression springs connected to the entangling nozzle. In this connection, the baffle plates are fastened, fixed in position, by a holder, for instance on the air-feed beam. Thus the entangling nozzles are opened for thread insertion by moving the traverse, and with it the entangling nozzle, away from the fixed baffle plate. By such movement the air feed may also be cut off.

Device for entanglement of filaments in a multifilament yarn

A yarn entangling device having a housing with an air pressure cushion in it for urging a piston normally outwardly of the housing. The piston has an air passage through it. Shifting the piston outwardly blocks the air passage. A blast nozzle is secured to the piston for being supplied with air through the piston. A baffle plate opposed to the blast nozzle defines a yarn channel. A holder supports the baffle plate for movement away from and into contact with the blast nozzle. With the holder moving the baffle plate toward the blast nozzle, the piston is shifted to open the air passage to the piston, and with the yarn channel opened with the baffle plate away from the blast nozzle, the piston is moved out of the housing by the air pressure cushion cutting off the air flow to the blast nozzle. A closing flap acts through a detent to secure the holder and baffle plate to close the yarn channel.

Threading assembly for a yarn entangling nozzle

In an arrangement for texturing threads used in producing yarn, the threads are preheated by passing through channels of a contact heater before passing through the known yarn texturing, e.g. false twisting units. To increase thread and yarn production with a particular contact heater, two threads are passed through a respective heating channel in the heater, rather than one thread. To accomplish this, one thread has a right hand, regular or Z-twist or turn and the other has a left hand, reverse or S-twist or turn, and their crimp causes them to avoid each other at opposite sides of the channel, and not to undesirably contact. A respective texturing unit is supplied for each of the threads that has been heated.
