A writing medium unit for a writing or drawing machine comprises at least one writing unit head, a filling unit and a control unit. The filling unit is interconnected to the writing unit head and to the control unit by flexible writing medium supply tubes which are detachably connected to at least the filling unit.

Writing medium unit for writing or drawing machines

An apparatus for supplying a liquid writing medium to the writing unit of a writing or drawing device has a writing unit connected by a flow line to a dip tube in a container for a liquid writing medium. The bottom of the container is located in substantially the same horizontal plane as the writing tip of the writing unit. From a suitable source, air is supplied under pressure to the surface of the writing medium within the container. The surface area of the writing medium within the container is greater than the surface area of the writing medium within the writing unit. A regulating valve connected between the container and source of air under pressure regulates the flow of liquid writing medium by supplying writing medium when the writing unit is operative and interrupting the writing medium when the writing unit is nonoperative.

Apparatus for supplying and regulating a writing medium to the writing

An apparatus for controlling the feed of writing fluid to a writing device comprises a writing fluid supply container, a source of compressed air and a first valve in a first conduit between the source of compressed air and the supply container, the first valve being adjustable depending on the working condition of the writing device. A second valve is provided in a second conduit between the supply container and the writing device, the second valve being automatically self-regulating depending on the pressure of the writing fluid at the writing device, whereby droplet formation is prevented.
