The invention relates to a drilling device comprising a drilling machine (), which has a drilling spindle () that is rotatably supported in a machine housing (), and a drilling chuck (), which has a chuck body (), a clamping cone () that can be rotated coaxially to the chuck body (), and a jaw holder (), in which clamping jaws () are guided in guiding receptacles (), which clamping jaws are supported on a carrier () so as to be radially movable, the threaded section () of which carrier engages in a threaded socket () that is associated with the chuck body () and that is coaxial to the chuck axis. The drilling spindle () is designed as a hollow spindle, in which a coupling rod () that is connected to the threaded socket () in a rotationally fixed manner engages, wherein the coupling rod () can be moved between a clamping position coupled with the machine housing () in a rotationally fixed manner and a drilling position coupled with the drilling spindle () in a rotationally fixed manner.

Drill

The invention relates to a chuck with a chuck body () having a centering hole () that is tapered frustoconically and in which is provided a clamping member () having a clamping thread (), with an angle drive () having a threaded ring () engaged with the clamping thread (), axially fixed to the chuck body (), coaxial to the clamping member (), and rotatable by a drive member () that can be rotated about a drive axis that is not parallel to the chuck axis. The drive member () can be inserted from the end opposite to the centering hole () into a body cavity () that can be closed by a plate () that is supported on the chuck body () and/or the threaded ring (). The drive member () is accessible for a drive tool through an aperture () in the cavity wall ().

Chuck

The invention relates to a re-tightening drill chuck with a chuck body (), a tightening sleeve () which can rotate coaxially with respect to the chuck body () and is axially supported on a jaw holder (), which is mounted on the chuck body () and in which clamping jaws () are guided in guiding slots and are adjustable for clamping and release by relative rotation between the chuck body () and the tightening sleeve () with the jaw holder, wherein a stop is formed on the jaw holder () and a counter-stop () is formed on the tightening sleeve () for the defined delimitation of a relative rotatability of the tightening sleeve () with respect to the jaw holder () between a first rotational position and a second rotational position.

Self-tightening drill chuck

The invention relates to a drill chuck with a chuck body () that can be connected to a drill spindle and in which jaws () are arranged that engage into the screwthread of a rotatably guided threaded ring (), furthermore with a locking mechanism for the threaded ring () consisting of a coaxial annular array of locking recesses () and of at least one locking member () that is engaged in the locking position under the force of a locking spring in the locking recesses (). The drill chuck furthermore comprises a coaxial tightening ring () that can rotate between first abutments () in a limited manner opposite the threaded ring () and comprises a latch () forming two latching positions () for the tightening ring () in the circumferential direction. A locking ring () that can rotate with end stops () between second abutments (') of the tightening ring () in a limited manner is provided for adjusting the locking member () between the locking position and the release position corresponding to the position of the locking member () disengaged from the locking recesses (), and the second abutment (&#x2032;), that is the front one in the direction of rotation () corresponding to the opening of the drill chuck, rests in the locking position on the end stop (). The latch () is formed between the locking ring () and the threaded ring ().

Drill chuck

The invention relates to a clamping drill chuck including a chuck body (), a clamping cone () that can be rotated coaxially in relation to the chuck body () and is axially supported on a jaw holder () mounted on the chuck body () and in which clamping jaws () are guided in guiding slits, said clamping jaws being adjustable, by means of the jaw holder (), for the clamping and releasing action by a relative rotation between the chuck body () and the clamping cone (). The drill chuck also includes a locking device () provided with a toothed ring () which is coaxial to the chick axle (), in addition to a latch mechanism () which is mounted on the jaw holder () and engages in the toothed ring () when subjected to the force of a spring ().

A drill chuck has a chuck body centered on and rotatable about an axis and formed with angled guides and respective jaws slidable in the guides axially forward and radially toward each other and axially rearward and radially away from each other. An annular tightening element is limitedly axially shiftable on the sleeve between a front position and a rear position. Screwthreads engaged between the element and the jaws axially displace the jaws forward on rotation of the element in a tightening direction and axially displace the jaws rearward on rotation of the element in an opposite loosening direction. Respective annular arrays of teeth angularly fixed on the element and the body are interengaged and prevent relative rotation of the element and body in the rear position of the element and are spaced and permit relative rotation of the element and body in the front position of the element.

Lockable drill chuck

A drill chuck has a chuck body, a jaw holder element rotatable on the body and formed with a plurality of angularly spaced guides, and a sleeve element surrounding the holder element and body. Jaws in the guides can be shifted in the guides forward and together on rotation of the holder element in a tightening direction relative to the body and oppositely on rotation of the holder element relative to the body in an opposite loosening direction. Interengaging formations on the sleeve element and on the body limit relative angular movement of the sleeve element on the body between a pair of angularly offset end positions. An annular array of teeth rotationally fixed to the sleeve element can be engaged by a pawl angularly fixed on the holder element. A release ring rotatable the body rearward of the sleeve is rotationally coupled to one of the elements.

A drill has a housing, a drivable drill spindle rotatably mounted in the housing, a chuck body coaxially connected and rotationally fixed to the drill spindle, a tightening sleeve rotatable on and relative to the chuck body, and jaws moveable relative to the chuck body by the tightening sleeve. A coupling between the housing and the tightening sleeve has a sleeve held on the housing so as not to rotate with the chuck body and movable relative to the chuck body chuck between a coupling position in which it connects the tightening sleeve to the spindle housing angularly in a friction-fit manner and a decoupling position into which it is urged by a decoupling spring when torque between the tightening sleeve and the coupling sleeve in the coupling position exceeds a predetermined value.

A drill chuck has a rotatable chuck body, a tightening sleeve axially fixed but rotatable on the chuck body, a plurality of jaws on the body and radially displaceable between inner and outer end positions, and a screwthread formation for radially displacing the jaws between their end positions on relative rotation of the body and sleeve. An inner element rotationally fixed on the chuck body has an elliptical outer surface generally centered on the axis and bearing on a flexible coupling ring having an annular array or radially outwardly projecting coupling teeth. First and second rings each have an annular array of radially inwardly projecting teeth meshing with the coupling teeth. The first ring is fixed and second ring is rotatable relative to the chuck body adjacent the first ring. The second-ring array of teeth has a number of teeth different from that of the first-ring array of teeth.

A drill chuck has a body formed with a forwardly open threaded bore and a holder sleeve rotatable on the body and formed with a plurality of forwardly open angled guides angularly equispaced about the axis. Respective jaws are shiftable radially along the guides between a widely spaced outer position and a closely spaced inner position. Each jaw has a central tool-engaging tooth and a pair of faces flanking the respective tooth, and each tooth and the adjacent flanking faces are so dimensioned and oriented relative to each other that in the inner position the flanking faces of adjacent jaws bear on one another. A pusher threaded into the bore bears axially forward on the jaws and is angularly coupled to the jaws and holder sleeve so that relative rotation or the chuck body and pusher moves the jaws between their inner and outer positions.

A drill chuck has a chuck body centered on and rotatable about an axis, a jaw holder rotatable on the body and formed with a plurality of angularly spaced guides, a sleeve surrounding the holder and body, and jaws in the guides between the sleeve and the body. Interengaging first and second stops on the body engage the sleeve and limit relative angular movement of the sleeve on the body between respective angularly offset first and second end positions. An annular array of teeth rotationally fixed to the chuck body engages first and second pawl angularly fixed on the holder. The pawls and the array of teeth are oriented such that each pawl locks in one direction and ratchets in the other, with the pawls working oppositely. Respective first and second springs urge the first and second pawls into the locking positions.

A drill has a housing formed with an outlet hole, a fan expelling an air stream from the outlet hole, a drive spindle projecting from the housing adjacent the outlet and centered on and rotatable about an axis, and a chuck body carried on the housing. A tightening sleeve rotatable about the axis on the chuck body carries a plurality of radially shiftable jaws, and interengaging screw formations operatively engaged between the body and the sleeve can shift the jaws radially in the guides on rotation of the sleeve relative to the body. A shield sleeve angularly fixed to the housing and surrounding the tightening sleeve has a rear end juxtaposed with the housing radially outside the outlet hole such that the air stream enters the shield sleeve. Inside the shield sleeve forward of its rear end a passage and a particle-expelling hole collect drilling particles and blow them out the particle-expelling hole.

A drill chuck has a chuck body having a forwardly open large-diameter threaded bore centered on an axis and a rearwardly open bore also centered on the axis and of small diameter. A power-unit spindle end is threaded into the small-diameter bore and projects axially forward into the large-diameter bore. A sleeve assembly axially fixed but rotatable on the chuck body is formed centered on the axis with a plurality of axially extending, angularly spaced, and forwardly open angled guides slidably receiving jaws. A coupling body has a large-diameter rear end threaded into the forwardly open large-diameter bore of the chuck body and a front end fitted to and angularly coupled to the jaws so that rotation of the sleeve assembly, jaws, and coupling body relative to the chuck body axially shifts the jaws.

Power drill

A drill chuck has a chuck body, a holder body, and a front sleeve surrounding the bodies, with jaws between them. A ring of teeth on one of the bodies can be engaged by a pawl angularly fixed on the other of the bodies. When engaged, the pawl and the array of teeth allow rotate relative to the chuck body in a tightening direction but not in a loosening direction. Respective interengaging stops on the other body and on the front sleeve limit relative angular movement of the front sleeve on the other body between a pair of angularly offset end positions. A back control sleeve has a cam formation engageable with the pawl in only one of the end positions to hold the pawl in the freeing position. The pawl is biased by a spring in the other end position into the locking position.
