A disc brake for utility vehicles includes a brake disc, a first brake lining on a first side of the brake disc and a second brake lining on a second side of the brake disc opposite the first side. A spreading device is also provided which generates a force that moves the first and the second brake lining away from one another.

A brake application device () for a disc brake () of commercial vehicles comprising an actuating spindle () with, axially of the actuating spindle (), a pressure plate () arranged on the actuating spindle (), and the pressure plate () having an annular groove () radially for receiving a boot (). A heat shield () is at least partially disposed between the pressure plate head () and the boot () at a spacing (X). An insulating layer () may be present between the heat shield () and the pressure plate head (). The heat shield () may be a metal ring () encapsulated in or coated with an elastomer (). The heat shield () may alternatively be formed of plastic or silicone.

A brake application device for a disc brake, in particular for a sliding caliper disc brake, is configured for the application of a brake disc. The disc brake has at least one brake caliper for receiving the brake application device and brake linings for applying the brake disc. The brake application device includes a brake application lever having at least one brake application lever foot. The brake application lever foot has a recess for receiving a bearing shell in the direction of the side facing the brake lining or the side facing away from the brake lining.

A wear monitoring device of a disk brake includes a brake disk, a first brake lining on a first face of the brake disk, and a second brake lining on a second face of the brake disk, in particular for commercial vehicles. The wear monitoring device has a first sensor unit that quantitatively ascertains the cumulative wear of the first and second brake linings. The wear monitoring device outputs, at the output connection of the first sensor unit, a first electrical output signal that is associated with the cumulative wear. A signal line is connected on the one hand to the output connection of the first sensor unit and on the other hand to an evaluating unit. The signal line is arranged in such a manner that, when a predetermined first wear limit of the first or second brake lining is reached, the signal line comes into contact with a stop.

A disk brake includes a wear sensor and an adjusting device having an adjusting element in the form of a pressure screw and/or a pressure sleeve. The adjusting element has a recess in which a reset device extends which is rotationally coupled to the adjusting element for resetting the adjusting device. The wear sensor lies at least partially in the recess.

A disk brake includes a brake disc, a brake shaft having a rotation axis that lies parallel to a main plane of the brake disc, a brake pad lying on a same side as the brake shaft relative to the brake disc, a pressure piece disposed between the brake shaft and the brake pad, a first limiting device configured to limit, to a predefined first extent, the displaceability of the pressure piece relative to the brake disc in a direction parallel to the rotation axis of the brake shaft, and a second limiting device configured to limit, to a predefined second extent, the displaceability of the brake shaft relative to the brake disc in a direction parallel to the rotation axis of the brake shaft, the second limiting device comprising a first stop on the pressure piece and a second stop on the brake shaft.

A disc brake includes a brake pad, a retaining spring, and a retaining bracket. The retaining bracket pretensions the retaining spring radially inwardly relative to a rotation axis of a brake against the brake pad. A smallest radial distance (D) of the retaining spring from the brake pad in a region in which the retaining bracket overlaps the retaining spring in a radial direction is greater than a smallest radial distance (d) of the retaining bracket from the brake pad in a region in which the retaining bracket overlaps the brake pad in the radial direction.

A disk brake includes a brake disk, a brake caliper, at least one application device lying within the brake caliper on one side of the brake disk, an axially movable device configured to move a brake pad axially toward the brake disk, and an adjustment mechanism configured to be rotated about an rotation axis lying parallel to a rotation axis of the brake disk and which, in the case of rotation in a first direction of rotation bringing about adjustment, is configured to rotate the actuating spindle. The adjustment mechanism includes a thread device which, at least in a rotation in a second direction of rotation opposite the first direction of rotation, is configured to mesh with the external thread of the actuating spindle and to screw the adjustment mechanism in relation to the actuating spindle.

A caliper disc brake of a vehicle has a brake disc with an axis of rotation, a brake caliper, a brake anchor plate, a force transmission element, such asa lining support and/or a pressure plate, a holding-down spring for holding down the force transmission element, and a holding-down device () which is held and supported on the caliper by a holding device, which pretensions the holding-down spring adially against the force transmission device and tangentially in the direction of rotation against the force transmission device during forwards travel. The holding device has a center line parallel to the axis of rotation. The tangential pre-tensioning is at least partially due to the dimensions (VV) of the holding-down device in the tangential direction from the center line (M) being larger on the disc exit side than on the disc entry side.

A disc brake, in particular for commercial vehicles, has an adjustment device for compensating for brake lining/brake disc wear. The adjustment device is arranged at least partially inside an interior space of the brake caliper and has an adjustment gear with an adjustment nut having an internal thread, and an adjustment spindle screwed therein with an external thread. For adjustment during normal operation of the brake, the adjustment nut is rotated in relation to the adjustment spindle, which is fixed against rotation. A first sealing device at least partially seals off an annular space on the brake disc side between the inner wall of a through-opening in the brake caliper and the axially adjustable adjustment spindle, which extends through the through-opening and toward one of the brake linings, wherein the first sealing device is held on the caliper at one end.

A caliper disk brake of a vehicle with a brake disk, a brake caliper, a brake anchor plate, a force transmission element guided and supported in a shaft of the brake caliper or of the brake anchor plate, a holding-down spring for holding down the force transmission element, and a holding-down device held and supported on the caliper by a holding device, pretensions the holding-down spring radially against the force transmission device and pretensions the holding-down spring tangentially in the direction of rotation against the force transmission device during forwards travel. The holding device has a center line parallel to the axis of rotation of the brake disk. The tangential pre-tensioning is at least partially attributed to the dimensions of the holding-down device, as measured in the tangential direction from the center line, being larger at least in sections on the disk exit side than on the disk entry side.

A caliper disc brake of a vehicle, in particular of a commercial vehicle, a brake disc, a brake caliper, a brake support plate, a force transmission element, such as, for example, a pad support and/or a pressure plate, which is guided and supported in a well of the brake caliper or of the brake anchor plate, a holding-down spring () for holding down the force transmission element, and a holding-down device (). The holding-down device is held by a holding device, pretensions the holding-down spring radially against the force transmission element and pretensions the holding-down spring tangentially in the direction of rotation against the force transmission element during forwards travel. The holding-down spring has two identical spring legs that enclose an angle of more than 95&#xb0; with the base in the relaxed state and an angle of less than 85&#xb0; with the respectively adjacent spring leg.
