The invention relates to a molding tool having a tool upper part () and a tool lower part (), having a glass pane () arranged between tool upper part () and tool lower part () and at least one sheet metal insert part () that can be connected to the glass pane () by means of foam overmolding () made of plastic. For an increased process reliability when connecting sheet metal insert parts () to panes (), the invention provides that at least one sensor () for detecting the position of the sheet metal insert part () is arranged on the tool upper part () and/or the tool lower part () on the side of the glass pane () that is located opposite the at least one sheet metal insert part ().

To produce a wall cladding panel which can be easily produced and installed, it is provided that the frame is made as an injected or foamed plastic frame () into which elements (A,A) for attachment of the wall cladding panel () are integrated.

A glass pane with plastic bordering for fixed side and rear windows as well as moonroofs of a vehicle. The glass pane comprises a groove formed in the plastic bordering adapted to receive a resilient sealing profile. The plastic bordering with the sealing profile press fit in the groove is adapted to secure the glass pane within a chassis of a vehicle as well as provide weather sealing. The contour of the plastic bordering is adapted to accurately locate and self-center the glass pane within a receiving chassis.

A device for foaming around a transparent pane for a motor vehicle roof, including a top tool having a top shaping structure mounted on a top carrier, and a bottom tool having a bottom shaping structure mounted on a bottom carrier. The shaping structures act as a boundary for the area to be peripherally foamed, and the top tool and the bottom tool are made adjustable relative to one another for inserting or removing the pane and the interchangeable bottom shaping structure. The top shaping structure is also interchangeable to enable matching of the peripheral foaming device to different size and shape panes to be peripherally foamed.

A cover unit for a vehicle roof, which can be opened, has a cover plate, a reinforcing frame arranged therebelow, and a seal-receiving frame, injection molded around the outer periphery of the cover plate, the seal-receiving frame having an encircling groove for receiving a peripheral seal at its outer periphery. In a process for the manufacture of a such cover, an inwardly directed part of the peripheral seal directly serves as a core which forms the seal-receiving groove by which it is detachably interlocked with the seal-receiving frame.

A cover of an openable motor vehicle roof includes a cover plate which is surrounded by a plastic frame formed by foaming or injection, and which connects at least one attachment part to the cover plate. The plastic frame includes at least one sensor element which is located on one wall of the attachment part and which signals pinching of a body part or article when the closes on an object by partial deformation of the plastic frame.

A cover (2) of an openable motor vehicle roof (1) has a cover plate (3) which is surrounded in at least one edge area by a foamed-on or injected-on plastic frame (4) which, at the same time, is used to connect at least one attachment part (inside cover sheet 6) of the cover. At least one sensor element (8) is integrated into the plastic frame (4) and it signals pinching of a body part or an article (11) by means of partial deformation of the plastic frame (4) when cover (2) is closed.
