The invention relates to an explosion-proof mat for protecting structures that enclose occupant accommodations in vehicles. The mat has several layers of textile impact-resistant sheet saturated with impregnating material and conforming to the shape of the accommodation-enclosing structure. The impregnating material is flexible after curing. A rigid sheet of composite is embedded between two inner layers of the textile sheets.

Explosion proof mat

A double layer armor for an armored vehicle. At least two elastic retaining mounts are provided between an inner armor plate member and one of a plurality of sections not attached to each other forming an outer armor plate member. At least one of the elastic retaining mounts is formed as an engagable or disengagable pivot mount, while at least one other elastic retaining mount comprises a housing attached rigidly with the inner armor plate member and a core attached detachably with the respective section of the outer armor plate member as well as an elastic member mounted between the housing and the core.

Double layer armor

A double armor plate construction, especially for the housing of armored vehicles, with inner and outer armor plates and with elastic buffers therebetween, distributed over the inside of the armor plates. The buffers consist primarily of natural or synthetic rubber material and have a substantially cylindrical shape. One end of the buffers is connected to a base plate fastened to the inner armor plate, whereas the other end of the buffers is respectively connected to adjacent holding screws extending through the outer armor plate. The holding screws are threadedly connected to bushings within the buffers so that the buffers are secured against movements in the axial direction thereof and transverse thereto. The bushings are provided with inner partially elastic metallic reinforcements which absorb thrust forces, especially those transverse to the central longitudinal axes of said buffers.
