Directly adjacent radar devices () have respective horizontal distances () from one another. The radar antenna arrangement () comprises at least one antenna column () for determining an elevation angle () of the radar beam (), said antenna column comprising a plurality of the radar devices (). Directly adjacent radar devices () have respective vertical distances () from one another. The at least one antenna row () and the at least one antenna column () include an angle α of between 5 degrees and 180 degrees.

A radar antenna assembly for a vehicle, including a composite window pane and at least one radar device designed to transmit and/or receive radar beam. The at least one radar device has an antenna unit and an amplifier unit. The amplifier unit is designed to provide an electrical driver signal for the antenna unit, and/or to receive an electrical echo signal from the antenna unit. The antenna unit may be arranged in the composite window pane of the vehicle, the amplifier unit may be arranged on a surface of the composite window pane, and the antenna unit and the amplifier unit are spatially separate from one another and are electrically interconnected via a connecting element arranged in the composite window pane.

Photonic component

An optoelectronic device that includes at least one adjustable optical damping member arranged upstream of a photodetector and damps the optical radiation passing to the photodetector. Radar system and method of operating a radar system

An optoelectronic component includes a chip having a substrate and at least one optical waveguide integrated in the chip. The electro-optical component may be monolithically integrated in one or a plurality of semiconductor layers of the chip arranged on the substrate top side of the substrate, or on the substrate top side of the substrate. At least one electrical connection of the monolithically integrated electro-optical component is connected by means of a connection line to a conductor track connection situated below the substrate rear side. A photonic component that includes a photonically integrated chip and a fiber holder that is mechanically connected to said chip. The fiber holder includes at least one groove with an optical fiber laid therein. The chip includes a substrate whose substrate base material is a semiconductor material, an integrated optical waveguide that is integrated into one or more material layers of the chip, which layers are wave guiding and positioned on the substrate, a coupler formed in the optical waveguide or connected to said optical waveguide, particularly a grating coupler, and an optical diffraction and refraction structure that is integrated into one or more material layers of the chip which are positioned above the optical coupler when viewed from the substrate, and that shapes the beam prior to its being coupled into the waveguide or after being coupled out of the waveguide.

An optoelectronic component including an optical waveguide, an integrated optical resonator, in which the waveguide or at least a portion of the waveguide is arranged, and a heat source which can increase the temperature of the resonator during operation. A web region adjoins laterally the waveguide when viewed in the longitudinal direction of the waveguide. The web region forms a jacket portion of the waveguide and has a smaller thickness than the waveguide. The heat source is thermally connected to the waveguide by means of the web region.
