The split computing device includes a transceiver configured to receive resource information of a terminal from the terminal and to measure a data transmission rate between the terminal and the split computing device in a process of receiving the resource information of the terminal; and a splitting point deriver configured to determine a splitting point of a deep neural network (DNN) model for split computing and an activation status of a container instance for each of tail models of a DNN corresponding to the respective splitting points using the resource information of the terminal, the data transmission rate, and resource information of the split computing device.

Dynamic split computing framework in serverless edge computing

The disclosure relates to a method and a control server for scheduling a computing task including a plurality of tasks to be performed by computation servers. The control server according to some embodiments includes: a transceiver; a memory; and at least one processor configured to receive the computing task from a terminal, generate a task dependency graph based on a dependency relationship of each of the plurality of tasks included in the computing task, obtain computation processing capacity information of each of the plurality of computation servers and information of transmission latency between the plurality of computation servers, schedule the plurality of tasks to be performed by at least two computation severs of the plurality of computation servers, based on the task dependency graph, the computation processing capacity information, and the information of transmission latency, and transmit, to the terminal, an execution result of the plurality of tasks received from at least one of the plurality of computation servers.

A service function chaining system is provided. The service function chaining system includes a PDP management module implementing SFC entities in consideration of an order of a service function chain (SFC) on a programmable data plane (PDP) and an SFC management module that transmits a first SFC entity information, which is information on SFC entities to be implemented on the PDP, to the PDP management module or transmits an SFC rule to a node included on the PDP, and the PDP management module includes a receiving unit for receiving the first SFC entity information, a processing unit for generating a second SFC entity information by processing the first SFC entity information to enable the SFC entities to be implemented on the PDP and to be processed according to an SFC order, and implementing unit for implementing the SFC entities on the PDP using the second SFC entity information.

Disclosed is a method of joint optimization of channel selection and frame scheduling for coexistence of LTE and WLAN in an unlicensed band, the method being performed by a baseband unit (BBU) pool and the method includes: selecting a component carrier (CC) having a highest idle probability by considering an idle probability of the CC for the unlicensed band; determining the number Nof idle subframes in the selected CC by considering a residence time in a WLAN system queue; and allocating a resource block (RB) to an LTE user terminal in a cell based on the number of selected CCs and the number of idle subframes and which appropriately selects a resource in a frequency domain and a time domain in LTE to acquire high throughput and fairness in the LTE and the WLAN in the unlicensed band.
