Provided, in one aspect, is a cementing apparatus. The cementing apparatus, in one embodiment comprising a housing; a fixed member coupled with the housing, the fixed member having at least one fixed member fluid opening therein; and a moving member positioned downhole of the fixed member and movable between a circulating position and a cemented position, the moving member having at least one moving member fluid opening therein, the at least one moving member fluid opening linearly offset from the at least one fixed member fluid opening.

Cementing apparatus for reverse cementing

A stage cementing tool for use in a wellbore comprises a mandrel having a plurality of circumferentially spaced first longitudinal slots and a plurality of circumferentially spaced second longitudinal slots. An opening sleeve is disposed in the mandrel in a first position and movable relative thereto. A setting sleeve disposed about the mandrel is connected to the opening sleeve and movable therewith. A drive sleeve disposed in the mandrel above the opening sleeve is connected to and movable with a closing sleeve disposed about the mandrel.

A buoyancy assist tool and a fluid barrier in a casing string define a buoyancy chamber therebetween. The buoyancy assist tool has a housing connected in the casing string with a retaining sleeve detachably connected in the housing. The retaining sleeve is movable from a first to a second position in the housing. A flapper disk is positioned in the housing and covers an upper end of the retaining sleeve in the first position of the retaining sleeve. In the second position of the retaining sleeve the flapper disk is in a retracted position out of the flow path through the housing.

A dual plug system comprises a bottom plug and a top plug. The bottom plug comprises, a bottom plug mandrel, a plurality of first fins, and a first seat. The plurality of first fins is disposed between a first end and a second end of the bottom plug mandrel, and the first seat is disposed at the second end The top plug comprises a first end and a second end. The top plug further comprises a top plug mandrel, a plurality of second fins, a collar, and a sleeve. The plurality of second fins is disposed around the top plug mandrel covering at least a portion of the length of the top plug mandrel, and the collar is coupled to the top plug mandrel The dual plug system further comprises a connector, wherein the connector is coupled to the first end of the top plug.

A reverse cementing tool has an outer case connected in a casing string. A dual stage actuating sleeve is disposed in the outer case and is operable in a first stage actuation to open a cement flow path from a well annulus to a central flow passage of the reverse cementing tool. In a second stage actuation the cement flow path is closed. The actuating sleeve includes inner and outer sleeves in the outer case. The inner and outer sleeves move in opposite directions in the outer case to first open, and then close the cement flow path.

Reverse cementing tool

A packer assembly and valve assembly without special or custom threads are used to provide a threadless float assembly. A packer assembly with inserts disposed in slip wedges is set by applying compressive forces using a setting tool. A valve assembly may be positioned during setting of the packer assembly between a holder and a setting tool insert end or may be positioned abutting a spacer after setting of the packer assembly. A setting tool and a plunger along with a pump are used to apply compressive forces on the packer assembly to set the packer assembly without requiring that the packer assembly or the valve assembly have special threading as the inserts, holder and spacer maintain the components in a stationary position.

A downhole tool comprising a cylindrical housing, a sleeve disposed in the cylindrical housing, forming an annular space between the sleeve and the cylindrical housing, and a tool cement composition disposed in the annular space, wherein prior to setting the tool cement composition comprises a cement, sand, a silicon-containing material, a dispersant, and water, and wherein upon setting the tool cement composition provides an annular seal having a fluid leakage of less than 750 ml over 15 minutes at a pressure of 7500 psi and a temperature of 400&#xb0; F.
