This application provides a method for managing a resource in a computer system and a terminal device. The method includes: obtaining data, where the data includes application sequence feature data related to a current foreground application, and the data further includes at least one of the following real-time data: a system time of the computer system, current status data of the computer system, and current location data of the computer system; selecting, from a plurality of machine learning models based on at least one of the real-time data, a target machine learning model that matches the real-time data; inputting the obtained data into the target machine learning model to rank importance of a plurality of applications installed in the computer system; and performing resource management based on a result of the importance ranking.

A method for presenting a custom content in a set top box and a set top box are disclosed. The method includes checking a display cache and a flash memory of a set top box after the set top box is powered on, writing a custom content in the flash memory into the display cache if the display cache and the flash memory of the set top box are checked correct, controlling the custom content written into the display cache to be presented to a user on a video terminal, and, after the custom content written into the display cache is controlled to be presented to the user on the video terminal, checking a hardware device other than the display cache and the flash memory in the set top box, starting an operating system of the set top box, and performing network authentication.

The invention discloses a method for implementing dual-homing, including: setting each one of any two core control equipment as a standby for each other, connecting a network entity belonging to one of the core control equipment with the two core control equipment through a primary link and a standby link respectively; setting the primary link connected with the core control equipment as activated, and setting the standby link connected with the core control equipment inactive; determining whether the core control equipment corresponding to the primary link is out of service, if the core control equipment corresponding to the primary link is out of service, activating the standby link; otherwise, continuously determining whether the core control equipment corresponding to the primary link is out of service. Embodiments of the present invention disclose a method for realizing direct dialing to an extension across Private Branch Exchanges (PBXs), in witch firstly a calling terminal of a PBX seizes a PBX circuit; secondly the calling terminal initiates a call to a called extension terminal in a PBX cluster by dialing a called extension terminal number directly; then a exchange system resolves the number of the PBX switchboard to which the calling terminal belongs according to a calling terminal number, and obtains a number of the PBX switchboard to which a called extension terminal belongs according to information of the called extension terminal number; and then the exchange system initiates a call to the PBX switchboard to which the called extension terminal belongs, and, when receiving an answer to the call from the PBX switchboard, sends the called extension terminal number, to connect the calling terminal with the called extension terminal.
