A method of distributed data detection may include: obtaining, by an end-unit, a plurality of datasets; streaming, by the end-unit to a remote computing device, at least a part of the obtained datasets; determining, by the end-unit, end-unit related information and sending the end-unit related information to the remote computing device; receiving, by the remote computing device, a desired data portion related information; selecting, by the remote computing device, based on at least a part of the obtained datasets and at least one of: the end-unit related information and the desired data portion related information, an operation to be used by the end-unit to detect the desired data portion in at least a part of the obtained datasets; and detecting, by the end-unit, the desired data portion in at least a part of the obtained datasets using the selected operation.

Systems and methods for distributed data detection and data preprocessing for data detection tasks

An optical see-through (OST) near-eye display (NED) system, integrating ophthalmic correction for an eye of a user, includes a partially transmissive partially reflective lens, including an inner surface having an inner surface radius of curvature exhibiting a first optical power. An outer surface has an outer surface radius of curvature exhibiting a second optical power. The lens is faces the eye to transmit incoming light of an outward scene to the eye. An electro-optical unit optically couples with the lens, and includes a light display projecting a light beam image onto the inner surface, to reflect the light beam image toward the eye. The electro-optical unit is located at a user's glabellar region. The first optical power provides ophthalmic correction with respect to the reflected light beam image. The second optical power is configured to provide ophthalmic correction with respect to transmitted incoming light from the outward scene.

An optical see-through (OST) near-eye display (NED) system is presented, integrating ophthalmic correction for an eye of a user, comprising a partially transmissive partially reflective lens, including an inner surface characterized by an inner surface radius of curvature exhibiting a first optical power, and an outer surface characterized by an outer surface radius of curvature exhibiting a second optical power, said partially transmissive partially reflective lens is configured to be facing said eye, and to at least partially transmit incoming light of an outward scene to said eye; and an electro-optical unit, configured to be optically coupled with said partially transmissive partially reflective lens, and including a light display configured to project a light beam image onto said inner surface, so to enable reflection of said light beam image toward said eye, said electro-optical unit is configured to be located at a glabellar region of said user.

A system and a method of position and orientation determination use an image capturing device and position and orientation sensors in user equipment such as a head mounted device 'HMD'. The method may comprise receiving position measurements from the position sensor and receiving a selection of one or more anchors based on said position measurements including the position of each anchor. The position and orientation measurements may be used to determine whether any selected anchor is visible to said image capturing device based on said position and orientation measurements. Then the image capturing device may be activated to capture an image including said one or more anchors when a selected anchor is visible. The image may be analyzed to determine the position and orientation of the image capturing device relative to the one or more anchors.

System and method for image position determination using one or more anchors

A system and a method are provided for selecting a site for displaying information to a user in a geographical area including a plurality of sites at which information may be displayed. Position, orientation and optionally gaze direction data are received from headsets worn by a plurality of users in the geographical area. The data is analyzed to determine for each site a probability of the site being viewed by users in said geographical area. A request is received for a selection of a site at which to display information to a particular user wearing a headset. The request identifies the headset and includes position of said particular user. In response to a request, a site is selected based on the analysis and signal identifying the selected site is output.

A wearable optical display system comprising: a user attachment section; a partially transmissive partially reflective optical part, coupled with said user attachment section, and configured to be facing an eye of said user; and an electro-optical unit, coupled with at least one of said user attachment section and said partially transmissive partially reflective optical part, said electro-optical unit comprising: a plurality of lenses; a plurality of reflectors having a nose-positioned reflector being positioned at a side of a nose of said user, such to allow an unobstructed field of regard to said eye; and a light projection unit for projecting light beams onto said partially transmissive partially reflective optical part via said at least one nose-positioned reflector being interposed along an optical path between said light projection unit and partially transmissive partially reflective optical part, for viewing at least part of a projection of said light beams by said eye.

Binocular wide field of view (WFOV) wearable optical display system

An optical display system configured for attachment to a user wearable optical device, the user wearable optical device includes a user attachment section, and a partially transmissive partially reflective lens that is coupled with the user attachment section, the user attachment section is configured for detachably mounting the user wearable optical device to a head of a user, the partially transmissive partially reflective lens is configured to be facing at least one eye of the user, the optical display system comprising: an electro-optical unit comprising: a processor; and a light projection unit coupled with said processor, said light projection unit is configured to transmit light beams onto said partially transmissive partially reflective lens; and at least one coupler that is configured to couple said electro-optical unit with at least one of said user attachment section and said partially transmissive partially reflective lens, wherein said electro-optical unit is configured to be positioned with respect to said user attachment section such that when said user wearable optical device is mounted on said user, said electro-optical unit is located at the glabellar region of said user.

Wearable optical display system for unobstructed viewing

Methods, systems and wearable devices are provided, which are associated with users in communicating group(s). Devices receive or derive their position, calculate their device axis orientation with respect to an axis of a reference frame and a line of sight (LOS) of associated component(s) or user, and deliver specified data to other users according to their position with respect to the LOS and predefined rules. The systems may be configured to understand the nature of the situation and to enable automatic sharing of relevant digital information among the users within a dynamic network according to specified criteria (e.g., thresholds). Pictures and videos may be shared automatically with the relevant friends assuming that those friends are within the position and orientation of the taken image, linked within a private network to the user sharing the image, and approved to receive such data from the network.

Line-of-sight-based content-sharing dynamic ad-hoc networks

A system for tracking wearable user devices is provided herein. The system may include a tracking environment, comprising: one or more scene light sources, wherein the location of the scene light sources is known within said tracking environment; one or more scene detectors operable to detect light within the tracking environment, wherein the location and orientation of said one or more scene detectors is known within said tracking environment; one or more scene reflectors operable to reflect light originating from said one or more scene light sources, wherein the location of said one or more scene reflectors is known within said tracking environment; and, one or more wearable user devices comprising a curved reflective surface with known geometry; and, a computer processor operable to analyse light readings detected by said one or more scene detectors, and to calculate a position of the one or more wearable user devices.

A user wearable optical display system comprising a user attachable section for detachably mounting said user wearable optical display system to a head of a user; a partially transmissive partially reflective lens, coupled with said user attachable section, and configured to be facing at least one eye of said user; and an electro-optical unit coupled with at least one of said user attachable section and said partially transmissive partially reflective lens, said electro-optical unit comprising: a processor; and a light projection unit coupled with said processor, said light projection unit is configured to transmit light beams onto said partially transmissive partially reflective lens; wherein said electro-optical unit is configured to be positioned with respect to said user attachable section such that when said user wearable optical display system is mounted on said user, said electro-optical unit is located at the glabellar region of said user.

A method and a system for sharing in video images, captured by a video image capturing device mounted on a source user and having a wide field of view, with a destination user, are provided herein. The method may include: receiving video images and respective positions and orientations thereof, captured by the video image capturing device at the source location; receiving a request from a destination user equipment, to view video images captured at the source location, wherein the request includes a line of sight of the destination user, as derived by an orientation sensor of a destination user headset; mapping the request to a respective region of interest of the destination user based on the line of sight; cropping the video images based on the respective region of interest and further based on said respective positions and orientations; and transmitting the cropped video images to the destination user.

System and method for sharing sensed data between remote users

Apparatus for remote imaging of a terrestrial area, the apparatus comprising: a camera array having a focal length f and a photosensor comprising photosensor pixels characterized by a photosensor pixel pitch P on which light from the terrestrial area is imaged from an operating distance A from the terrestrial area to acquire an image of the terrestrial area; an orthographic image of the terrestrial area having image pixels that image features in the terrestrial area; a terrain map that provides elevation for features in the terrestrial area imaged on the image pixels of the orthographic image; a controller that registers the image of the terrestrial area to the orthographic image responsive to the terrain data; wherein elevation provided by the terrain map has an uncertainty &#x394;&#x3b2; that satisfies a constraint P&#x2265;&#x394;e&#xb7;f&#xb7;sin &#x3b1;/A, where a is a maximum oblique angle at which the camera array images the terrestrial area so that registration of the image of the terrestrial area to the orthographic image has an accuracy better than or about equal to the pixel pitch.
