A hinge mechanism includes a first rotation assembly, a second rotation assembly substantially parallel to the first rotation assembly, a first connection member, and a second connection member. The first and second rotation assemblies include a first and second pivoting shafts and a first and second brackets sleeved on the first and second pivoting shafts, respectively, and both the first and second brackets includes an engaging portion eccentrically formed on one end respectively thereof. The first connection member includes two pivotal portions. The pivotal portions are rotatably connected to the engaging portions of the first bracket and the second bracket, respectively. The second connection member is sleeved on the first pivoting shaft and the second pivoting shaft.

Dual axis hinge with eccentric connector

An electronic device includes a support mechanism and a main body. The support mechanism includes a pivoting assembly and a support member. The pivoting assembly includes a fixing member, a sliding member slidably mounted on the fixing member, a pivoting shaft rotatably connected to one end of the fixing member, and at least one torsion spring sleeved on and coiling around the pivot shaft. The torsion spring includes two assembling legs, one assembling leg of the torsion spring elastically resists against the fixing member. The support member is fixed to the sliding member. when the support member is wholly received in the main body, one surface of the support member tightly contacts the main body via an elastic force generated by the torsion spring; and when the support member is moved away from the main body, the support member is rotated by the elastic force.

Electronic device with support mechanism

A hinge mechanism includes two pivot shafts substantially parallel to each other, two main gears non-rotatably respectively sleeved on the pivot shafts, a transmission assembly positioned between the two pivot shafts to transmit a torque of one of the two main gears to the other in a reverse direction, and a connecting member defining two shaft holes. The pivot shafts are respectively rotatably received in the shaft holes. Two contact assemblies are respectively mounted on the pivot shafts abutting the connecting member. One of the connecting member and each main gear forms at least one detent, and the other defines at least one recess correspondingly. The at least one detent is received in the at least one recess.

Hinge mechanism

An embodiment of a hinge assembly includes a main body defining a shaft hole, a connecting shaft including an inserting end rotatably received in the shaft hole, and an expansion member forming a tapered portion and axially positioned in the shaft hole. An end surface of the inserting end toward the expansion member defines a tapered hole corresponding to the tapered portion, and the tapered portion is pressed into the tapered hole to expand the inserting end to resist the inner surface of the shaft hole, thus rotatably connecting the connecting shaft to the main body.

Hinge assembly and electronic device using the same

A coupling mechanism includes a pivot assembly and a lifting assembly. The pivot assembly includes a first bracket, a pivot pin, a second bracket, and a cam piece. The second bracket is rotatably mounted to the first bracket via the pivot pin and has a valley portion recessed from one surface thereof. The cam piece is mounted to the pivot pin for holding the second bracket at any angle. The cam piece has a peak portion formed on one surface thereof and received in the valley portion of the second bracket at a closed position. The lifting assembly is adjustably assembled to the second bracket such that the lifting assembly is pivotally assembled with the first bracket.

A swivel-hinge assembly includes a main plate, a knuckle on the main plate, a first pivot shaft rotatably engaged in the knuckle, at least one end of the first pivot shaft exposed out of the knuckle and a peg positioned on the end of the first pivot shaft exposed out of the knuckle. The peg includes a limiting portion protruding out of the first pivot shaft and abutting an edge of the knuckle, wherein when the first pivot shaft is rotated and reaches a predetermined position the limiting portion of the peg abuts the main plate thereby preventing further rotation of the first pivot shaft.

A hinge mechanism includes a first rotation assembly, a second rotation assembly substantially parallel to the first rotation assembly, a brace member, a connection shaft partially received in the sliding slot, a first connection member, and a second connection member. The first rotation assembly includes a first pivoting shaft and a first bracket sleeved on the first pivoting shaft. The first bracket includes a mounting portion eccentrically formed on one end of the first bracket. The second rotation assembly includes a second pivoting shaft and a second bracket sleeved on the second pivoting shaft. The second bracket includes a mounting portion eccentrically formed on the second bracket. The brace member defines a sliding slot. An end of the first connection member is eccentrically connected to the first pivoting shaft, and the other end of the first connection member is connected to the connection shaft.

An electronic device includes a main body, a fixing member rotatably mounted on the main body, and a liquid crystal display rotatably mounted on the fixing member. The liquid crystal display can rotate from a first position facing the main body to a second position facing away from the main body.

An overload protection mechanism includes a frame and a positioning assembly received in the frame. The frame includes at least one side plate, the at least one side plate defining a receiving depression. The positioning assembly includes a fixing sleeve, at least one elastic member received in the fixing sleeve, and at least one latching member positioned on the at least one elastic member and movably received in the receiving depression. The at least one side plate further defines a slanted repositioning surface adjoining the receiving depression. The positioning assembly is slidable relative to the frame with the at least one elastic member resisting the at least one latching member to press the at least one latching member along the slanted repositioning surface until the at least one latching member is received in the receiving depression.

Overload protection mechanism and shaft coupling device using the same

A hinge mechanism includes two pivoting shafts substantially parallel to each other, two main gears non-rotatably sleeved on the pivoting shafts, respectively. The hinge mechanism further includes two transmission gears positioned between the main gears, and two brackets sleeved on the pivoting shafts, respectively. Each transmission gear meshes with the other transmission gear and one main gear. Each pivoting shaft includes a flange which defines two locking portions, and each bracket forms two latching portions engaging with the locking portions of each pivoting shaft. The locking portions and the latching portions are selected from the structures of groove and hook.

A support stand includes a base, a supporting bracket, a first hinge assembly positioned between the base and the bracket, a second hinge assembly, and a third hinge assembly. The second hinge assembly and the third hinge assembly are positioned between the supporting bracket and a display body of the electronic device. The second hinge assembly includes a connecting bracket. The third hinge assembly includes a pivot shaft and a sleeve member. The sleeve member includes a leaf and a sleeve extending from an end of the leaf. The pivot shaft is firmly engaged in the sleeve of the sleeve member.

A hinge assembly includes a first connecting member, a second connecting member, and a pivot subassembly. The pivot subassembly connects the first connecting member to the second connecting member. The pivot subassembly includes a rotatable shaft, a sleeve, and a positioning ring. The rotatable shaft is non-rotatably connected to the first connecting member. The sleeve is sleeved on the rotatable shaft, and non-rotatably connected to the rotatable shaft. The positioning ring is non-rotatably connected to the second connecting member. The sleeve defines two positioning cutouts, and the positioning ring defines two positioning protrusions engaging with the positioning cutouts. When the rotatable shaft rotates, one of the sleeve and the positioning ring deforms, so that the at least one positioning protrusion disengages from the at least one positioning cutout.

Each link shaft has a first end rotatably connected to the mounting base and a second end rotatably connected to the connecting base. The support stand further includes a restricting pole fixed to the mounting base and positioned between the two link shafts, the restricting pole abuts against the two link shafts, thus restricting a rotary range of the two link shafts.
