In a method for displaying an input interface on a touch panel of an electronic device, a first display area and a second display area are determined on the touch panel according to touch ranges of touch operations on the touch panel. The method obtains a first sub-keyboard and a second sub-keyboard of the input interface, displays the first sub-keyboard in the first display area by performing a zoom operation on the first sub-keyboard, and displays the second sub-keyboard in the second display area by performing the zoom operation on the second sub-keyboard.

In a power-on/off management method of a communication device, a display screen of the communication device is powered off, and a signal transmitting function of the communication device is suspended, when a power key of the communication device is pressed upon the condition that the communication device is in a power-on state. Motion units of the input operation are recorded. Sampled input operation is obtained by sampling the input operation at a preset time interval. A membership degree of the input operation is calculated. When the membership degree of the input operation conforms to a preset unlocking threshold, the electronic device is unlocked.

An electronic device and a method for predicting word input include generating a virtual keyboard comprising a plurality of virtual keys and receiving input letters and searching an English word database according to the input letters. The electronic device and the method further include retrieving the one or more possible words that begin with the input letters, confirming one or more virtual keys corresponding to the retrieved one or more possible words, and displaying the confirmed one or more virtual keys different from other virtual keys.
