A motor driving apparatus includes an AC-DC conversion unit configured to rectify an AC power supplied from an external AC power source, a DC link unit configured to stabilize a voltage rectified by the AC-DC conversion unit, and a DC-AC conversion unit configured to supply the AC power to a motor using the DC voltage from the DC link unit. The DC link unit may include one pair of film capacitors configured to remove a ripple of the rectified voltage, and the DC-AC conversion unit may include a 3-level inverter receiving the DC voltage from the one pair of film capacitors to supply the AC power to the motor.

Motor driving apparatus

A motor driving apparatus includes a rectifying circuit to rectify an AC power supplied from an external AC power source, one pair of film capacitors to output a DC voltage and a neutral point voltage by removing a ripple of a voltage rectified by the AC-DC conversion unit, a 3-level inverter to supply a driving current to a motor using the DC voltage applied from the DC link unit, and a control module to control the 3-level inverter. The control module includes a motor speed control module to control the rotation of the motor, a DC voltage control module to stabilize the DC voltage, a neutral point voltage control module to stabilize the neutral point voltage, and a stabilizing voltage limiting module to control the DC voltage control module and the neutral point voltage control module according to an output of the motor speed control module.

This technology configures a bridgeless circuit with no rectifier diode by using an additional switch, eliminating conduction loss due to the diode and reducing common mode EMI noise of the power factor correction circuit. A power factor correction circuit includes at least one inductor directly connected to an AC input stage, an output capacitor to smooth the output voltage, first switching elements to control current to store magnetic energy in the inductor, and a second switching element to maintain a substantially constant voltage between a ground voltage of an AC input stage and a ground voltage of an output stage.

Disclosed herein are a motor driving apparatus and a controlling method thereof. The motor driving apparatus includes a motor having a rotor including a permanent magnet, and a stator, an inverter to supply a driving power to the motor, and a control unit to estimate a parameter using a startup estimation when a rotation speed of the rotor is less than a preset startup speed, to estimate the parameter using a driving estimation with compensating for a dead time when the rotation speed of the rotor is equal to or greater than the preset startup speed and a torque of the rotor is equal to or less than a preset driving torque, and to estimate the parameter using the driving estimation without the dead time compensation when the rotation speed of the rotor is equal to or greater than the preset startup speed and the torque of the rotor exceeds the preset driving torque.

Motor driving apparatus and controlling method thereof

An inverter control apparatus and a control method thereof are provided. The inverter control apparatus and a control method thereof stably operate a three-phase motor using a capacitor having a small capacitance for a DC link. The inverter control apparatus includes a current sensor to sense an output current of the inverter, a voltage sensor to sense a DC-link voltage of the inverter, and a controller to generate an average of a periodically varying rotor based q-axis current boundary value based on the output current and the DC-link voltage to generate a current reference on the basis of the average of the rotor based q-axis current boundary value, and to drive a three-phase motor based on the current reference. Stabilized variable speed control of a motor by using a small-capacitance capacitor for a DC link of an inverter is performed and reliability of an inverter circuit improved.

The present disclosure relates generally to a switch driving circuit and power factor correction circuit having the same, and more particularly, to a technology to provide a negative offset using Zener diodes to prevent malfunctions in driving a switch. The switch driving circuit to operate a switch implemented with a Field Effect Transistor (FET) includes a first Zener diode connected to a control input end of the switch; a capacitor connected in parallel with the first Zener diode; and second and third Zener diodes for providing a negative offset to fix a voltage applied between the gate and source of the switch to a negative value.

A power-supply circuit for a DC appliance includes an input unit including a first terminal and a second terminal so as to receive a DC current, an output unit including a third terminal to output the DC current entered by the input unit and a fourth terminal, a connection unit including a first conductive line and a second conductive line so as to interconnect the input unit and the output unit, a rectifier unit including first to fourth diodes coupled as a bridge diode format so as to rectify the input DC current in a predetermined direction, an inductor unit that is connected in series to the rectifier unit in such a manner that the input DC current is gradually increased from an abrupt change time point of the DC current, and a condenser unit that is connected in series to the inductor unit.
