A battery pack includes a plurality of unit cells, a substrate electrically connected to the unit cells, a temperature protection device on the substrate, and a protection circuit module electrically connected to the substrate. The temperature protection device includes at least one metal contact electrically connected to the substrate. The substrate includes at least one hole at a location corresponding to the at least one metal contact. A width of the substrate is substantially equal to or less than widths of surfaces of the unit cells overlapping the substrate.

A battery pack includes unit cells disposed side-by-side, a connection board connecting the unit cells in series and/or in parallel, the connection board including position fixing portions on a first surface, a protection circuit module electrically connected to the connection board, and a first connecting tap and a second connecting tap disposed on the connection board to electrically connect the unit cells and the connection board. At least one of the first connecting tap and the second connecting tap includes one end connected to the unit cells and an other end, the other end including a plurality of bridges at a lower side thereof. The bridges are inserted into the position fixing portions.

Battery pack

A battery pack includes a plurality of battery cells, a board assembly including first and second boards, the first and second boards extending across electrode tabs of the battery cells and electrically connecting the plurality of battery cells via the electrode tabs, and an insulation member including a base and at least one bent part, the base being disposed between the board assembly and the plurality of battery cells, and the at least one bent part extending from the base toward the board assembly and being bent to cover an edge of the board assembly.

A battery pack includes a plurality of battery units, a protective circuit module on each of the plurality of battery units and that is electrically connected to each of the plurality of battery units, and an upper cover on the protective circuit module. Each of the battery units includes a bare cell including a can, an electrode assembly in the can, and a cap plate that seals an opening of the can, and a holder between the bare cell and the protective circuit module. The bare cells are located side by side along a first direction such that each cap plate is exposed along the same direction. A battery pack includes a battery cell; a case comprising a first case and a second case coupled together and accommodating the battery cell, wherein the first case includes a first rib extending circumferentially around the first case and generally defining a battery cell accommodation space for the battery cell around an interior of the first rib, the first rib having a ridged section comprising alternating thick portions and thin portions.

The present invention relates to a battery pack. The battery pack includes a plurality of battery cells arranged side-by-side, a lead plate electrically connecting the plurality of battery cells, a protection circuit module electrically connected with the plurality of battery cells, and a temperature sensor electrically connected with the protection circuit module to measure a temperature of the plurality of battery cells, wherein the lead plate has hole into which the temperature sensor is inserted, for fixing the position of the temperature sensor. By the above construction, the installation position of the temperature sensor is specified, so that the temperature sensor may be prevented from being damaged and the reliability of the temperature sensor may be enhanced.

A lead plate that electrically connects a plurality of battery cells. The lead plate includes a first welding unit; a second welding unit separately disposed from the first welding unit by a slit between the first and second welding units; and a by-pass unit, an end of which is connected to the first welding unit and the other end of which is connected to the second welding unit, wherein the end of the by-pass unit is disposed on an opposite side of the slit based on the first welding unit, and the other end of the by-pass unit is disposed on an opposite side of the slit based on the second welding unit.

A battery module includes a plurality of rechargeable unit cells; and a lead tab assembly that electrically connects the unit cells together, wherein the lead tab assembly includes a first lead tab extending in a first direction and that is electrically connected to a first unit cell of the unit cells; a second lead tab that extends in the first direction and that is electrically connected to a second unit cell of the unit cells; a temperature-sensing element that is located between the first lead tab and the second lead tab and is electrically connected to the first lead tab and the second lead tab; and an insulating member that accommodates at least a portion of the first lead tab, the second lead tab, and the temperature-sensing element.
