Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for collision mitigation in sidelink. A method that may be performed by a user equipment (UE) includes measuring channel busy ratio (CBR), estimating a number of UEs using the channel, estimating a congestion level based on the CBR and the estimated number of UEs. A method that may be performed by a sidelink UE includes determining a semi-persistent scheduling (SPS) resource reservation including first subframes, determining second subframes for generated packet transmission, determining to skip transmission in the second subframes, listening during the second subframes for another sidelink UE's transmission, and determining whether to reselect resources. Another method includes listening during a first subframe for another sidelink UE's transmission, detecting the transmission collides with a scheduled transmission resource for the sidelink UE based on an amount of frequency resource overlap, and determining to reselect resources.

Packet collision mitigation in sidelink

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may adjust a basic safety message generation periodicity based at least in part on a semi-persistent scheduling periodicity for transmitting basic safety messages. Techniques for reducing semi-persistent scheduling latency

In some aspects, techniques for improving semi-persistent scheduling performance, including in the context of cellular vehicle-to everything (CV2X) communications, are provided. For example, a method of wireless communication performed by a user equipment can include determining a first periodicity for transmitting safety messages, determining a second periodicity for transmitting the safety messages, wherein the second periodicity is different than the first periodicity, determining, based on a probabilistic determination process, whether to continue with the first periodicity or switch to the second periodicity, generating, based on the determination to continue with the first periodicity or switch to the second periodicity, the safety messages at the first periodicity or the second periodicity, and transmitting the safety messages at a same periodicity at which the safety messages were generated. Enhancements for improved CV2X scheduling and performance

Various aspects enable communication link selection performed by a processor of an Internet of Things (IoT) device. The IoT device may identify one or more communication link characteristic preferences of the IoT device. The IoT device may scan characteristics of a plurality of connectivity objects that are linked in a server object. The IoT device may determine a best match access point name based on the communication link characteristic preferences of the IoT device and the scanned characteristics of the plurality of linked connectivity objects. The IoT device may select a communication link based on the determined best match access point name.

An apparatus receives a wakeup time interval from each of a plurality of applications. The apparatus forms a first device wakeup time interval, the first device wakeup time interval including overlapping wakeup time intervals for the plurality of applications. The apparatus schedules a device wakeup during at least the first device wakeup time interval.
