System and methods for using a single number for multiple devices supported by distinct network operators are described. A secondary device from a different network operator may be provisioned on a wireless communications network and associated with a primary telephone number that is also associated with one or more other devices so that traffic for the primary telephone number is duplicated to the secondary device. When the secondary device is used for communications with the primary telephone number, call detail records may be provided to the primary network billing system that may not charge for the services and to a billing system associated with the secondary device for appropriate billing.

Framework for unified wireless communications

Systems and methods for providing greater granularity and updatability to network profiles. The system can include a subscription management application program interface (SMA) to receive setup information, user preferences, software, hardware, and firmware updates from a user cell phone, computer, or smart device (collectively, end-point) regarding what features the user wishes to access. The SMA can access a profile lookup table to identify a profile with the requested attributes. A subscription management module (SMM) can receive this information from the SMA and retrieved the profile requested by the SMA from a repository of profiles. The SMM can then download or activate the profile with features that match, or most closely match, the requested features onto the end-point. The system can enable providers to ship phones with no network profiles. The system can also enable profiles to be updated based on changes in user preferences, updates, or other changes.

Capability- and user-based profile downloads for networked devices

Systems and methods discussed herein are directed to managing customer Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) and embedded SIM (eSIM) profiles and allocated Mobile Station International Subscriber Directory Numbers (MSISDN) for connected devices, e.g., cars, in different use-cases. For example, in configurations, users may have a primary electronic device, e.g., a mobile phone having a primary MSISDNthat is instantiated on a primary Integrated Circuit Card Identifier (ICCID), ICCIDin the billing system of a wireless communication network. When the user has a secondary device paired with the mobile phone, that secondary device may have a secondary MSISDNthat is activated with a secondary ICCIDin the billing system. Thus, the secondary device may be used by the user in conjunction with the primary device and is paired with the primary device such that incoming calls are forked to both the primary device and the secondary device.

Customer profile and billing lifecycle management in connected endpoints in wireless communication networks

A technique of testing connectivity between a plurality of source components, e.g., source servers, and a plurality of destination components, e.g., destination servers, in a network is discussed herein. A request to test connectivity between a plurality of source components and a plurality of destination components is received, the request being directed to testing the connectivity between each source component and each destination component. Connectivity between each source component and each destination component is tested, with multiple tests being conducted substantially simultaneously. Based at least in part on the testing, a report is generated related to connectivity between the plurality of source components and the plurality of destination components. The ranges of IP addresses for the source components and ranges of IP addresses of the destination components are provided using a Comma-Separated Values (CSV)-based input.

Automated connectivity testing among a large number of servers

The techniques provide a wireless communication carrier with the ability to efficiently add a device that is currently provisioned for a different carrier. Identification information is received for a mobile device to be switched from a first mobile network operator to a second mobile network operator. From a user interface executing on the mobile device, authorization is received to switch the mobile device. A token is generated that is usable to access unique identification data for an embedded Universal Integrated Circuit Card (eUICC) installed on the mobile device. Based in part on the tokens, subscription credentials are generated for accessing a mobile communications network operated by the second mobile network operator. Using the subscription credentials, the mobile device is provisioned to communicate on the mobile communications network operated by the second mobile network operator without further user input.

ESIM switching platform

An application code is executed to generate application web page code for an application web page. An application framework is invoked according to a script in the application code to support retrieval of feature codes from a Feature as a Service (FaaS) data store and content codes from a Content as a Service (CaaS) data store. A feature code of a feature is retrieved via a corresponding Representational State Transfer (REST)ful web service from the FaaS data store. The feature code is executed to generate feature presentation code that is incorporated into the application web page code. A content code is retrieved via a corresponding RESTful web service from the CaaS data store. The content code is executed to retrieve specific content for the feature from a content data store and incorporated with the feature presentation code. The application web page code is sent to a web browser for rendering.

Microservice-based dynamic content rendering

An application framework may be developed to support rendering of features on application web pages. Feature codes of features and associated content code that are developed as Representational State Transfer (REST)ful web services using a variety of different programming languages are received and stored in a Feature as a Service (FaaS) data store. The RESTful web services of the feature codes and the content codes are callable by the application server via the application framework. Content for populating the features are stored in a content data store. Application code is generated to provide application web page code for an application web page that includes one or more features. The application code is configured to cause the application server to access, via the application framework, a RESTful web service to obtain a feature code of a feature and access another RESTful web service to obtain specific content that populates the feature.

Microservice-based software development

Systems and methods are described herein for activating internet of things (IoT) devices, and other non-carrier provided devices, to data and other communication plans associated with a subscriber of a telecommunications carrier. The systems and methods may generate and publish a single API that, when called by an IoT device (e.g., an associated activation client for the IoT device) receives information associated with the IoT device and activates the IoT device to the subscriber's plan.

Single interface for activating IOT devices to network data plans

Techniques are described herein for authenticating a subscriber when activating user equipment and monitoring user equipment state. During the activation process, one or more using unique authentication questions can be presented to the subscriber in a customer validation screen. Individual subscribers can compose the authentication questions and corresponding answers during purchase such that the purchase order includes at least one device identifier corresponding to the user equipment associated with a purchase order. Upon authentication, one or more functionalities or features of the user equipment can be enabled. Additionally, billing and provisioning systems can be implemented as well as real-time or near real-time subscriber identity module (SIM) provisioning. The status of the user equipment can be transmitted to a telecommunications network provided by a telecommunications service provider on a scheduled basis in order to monitor the user equipment state and compliance.

Framework for securing device activations

An eSIM management framework can serve as an abstraction layer between various partners, mobile network operators, mobile-virtual network operators, and/or enterprises and SIM or eSIM vendors. The eSIM management framework can facilitate real-time SIM and/or eSIM profile provisioning to reduce consumption of network resources. In some examples, an eSIM management framework can facilitate just-in-time client-side provisioning, which can include on-demand generation of an appropriate SIM or eSIM profile.

Framework for eSIM profile management

Decreasing the time to resolution of trouble tickets and preemptively resolving potential network issues using a predictive customer care support framework communicatively coupled to a telecommunications service provider via a network is described. Techniques described herein include preprocessing ticket data associated with a trouble ticket corresponding to a subscriber using a decision engine that can implement a decision tree scheme to automatically identify appropriate data sources from which relevant data can be routed to the decision engine in a bundled format. The techniques further include detecting potential network issues not yet reported by subscribers using an analytical engine to identify a root cause for the potential network issues and implementing recommended solutions to reduce an influx of trouble tickets at a customer support terminal.

Single interface for activating IoT devices to network data plans

A system for monitoring embedded subscriber identity modules (eSIMs) is disclosed. The monitoring system provides visibility into the end-to-end performance of a mobile network operator (MNO) profile. The system controls a mobile device that is provisioned with a MNO profile and communicates with a subscription manager (SM) that produces and delivers the MNO profile. This system enables the monitoring of the interactions between the subscription manager and the eSIM and monitors the data preparation (SM-DP) and the secure routing (SM-SR) functionalities in the subscription manager.
