Artificial intelligence-based medical 3D scanner

Described are colonoscopy systems and methods of using such systems. The colonoscopy systems may include an optical scanning system having at least one illuminator configured to produce spatially patterned light and solid light in at least one frame to illuminate tissue within the colon, and at least one camera configured to capture the at least one image of the illuminated tissue within the colon. Additionally, the optical scanning system may include at least one control system configured to construct at least one three dimensional point cloud representations of the tissue within the colon and detect at least one feature of interest using the at least one three dimensional point cloud and a pre-trained artificial intelligence engine.

Medical three-dimensional (3D) scanning and mapping system

Described are colonoscopy systems and methods of using such systems. The colonoscopy systems may include an optical scanning system having at least one illuminator configured to produce spatially patterned light and solid light in at least one frame to illuminate tissue within the colon, and at least one camera configured to capture the at least one image of the illuminated tissue within the colon. Additionally, the optical scanning system may include at least one control system configured to construct at least one three dimensional point cloud representations of the tissue within the colon.

Colonoscopy system and method

Optical display systems and methods for providing three-dimensional and two-dimensional convergence corrected images to a user are described. The optical display systems may include at least two image generators producing a plurality of rays forming a plurality of images. A diffraction enhanced imaging system may be configured to collect the rays produced and control convergence angle of each ray at specific wavelengths into an optical waveguide. An in-coupling diffraction system may couple the rays into the optical waveguide. A wavelength compensated beam expander may expand horizontal extension of the images and an output coupling and vertical expansion system may magnify the images in a vertical direction and direct light towards a user at specific angles creating a wide field of view.

Optical display system for augmented reality and virtual reality

A three-dimensional display system and methods for forming 3D images are disclosed. In one version, a diffusion screen is formed at a predetermined locationof a set of predetermined locations-n within an image chamber. The diffusion screen is illuminated with visible light indicative of a cross-sectional imageof a set of a plurality of cross-sectional images-N of a three-dimensional image at the predetermined locationwithin the image chamber. The diffusion screen is erased and the method is repeated for cross-sectional images-N and predetermined locations-n of the three-dimensional image at a scan rate sufficient to produce a representation of the three-dimensional image in the image chamber.

Diffraction grating based 3-D display

An ultra high-resolution volumetric three-dimensional (3D) display system comprises an image chamber, and an addressing system to direct a beam of electromagnetic energy at a first wavelength to slice through the image chamber. The beam of electromagnetic energy slices the image chamber along a first axis to provide an image slice. The addressing system comprises a line generator to shape the beam into a line extended along a second axis. An imaging system delivers the electromagnetic energy at a second wavelength to an area within the provided image slice. The line is moved along a third axis to form a three dimensional (3D) image.

Ultra high-resolution volumetric three-dimensional display

Algorithms stored on one or more computer readable medium for interfacing an imaging display with an electronic-ink generating system are described. The algorithms includes instructions for capturing an electronic-ink image, instructions for converting the electronic ink image into control instructions for controlling an electromechanical aspect of the imaging display, and, instructions for providing the control instructions to control circuitry of the imaging display. Interfacing projection systems and methods of interfacing electronic-ink images are also described.

Computer system with digital micromirror device

A light surface display for providing a three-dimensional image including a plurality of particles dispersed within a volumetric display. A first projection system projects sequential slices of electromagnetic energy of one or more infrared wavelengths along the length and width of the volumetric display energizing particles to form a two-dimensional image. A second projection system projects translational slices of electromagnetic energy of one or more infra-red wavelengths that intersect with the energized particles across the depth of the volumetric display. A control system synchronizes the projection of the image source and the activation source such that the two-dimensional image and the translational slices energize the particles for a pre-determined length of time so that the particles illuminate to form an illuminated three-dimensional image.

A light surface display for providing a three-dimensional image including a plurality of particles suspended within a volumetric display. A first projection system projects sequential slices of electromagnetic energy of one or more wavelengths along the length and width of the volumetric display energizing particles to form a two-dimensional image. A second projection system projects translational slices of electromagnetic energy of one or more wavelengths that intersect with the energized particles across the depth of the volumetric display. Light surface display for rendering a three-dimensional image

A volumetric liquid crystal display for producing a three-dimensional image is disclosed. The volumetric liquid crystal display includes a volumetric image space having at least two layers of LCD sheeting wherein each layer of LCD sheeting is selectively energized to form image slices. At least one projection system projects at least one array of electromagnetic energy of one or more wavelengths to intersect the energized layer of LCD sheeting illuminating image slices. Successive illumination of image slices on the layers of LCD sheeting provides the appearance of a three-dimensional image. Embodiments and methods of controlling and fabricating a three-dimensional image are disclosed.
