An induction heating device includes a casing; a first induction heating module in the casing; a first heat sink located below the first induction heating module; a first heat pipe that passes through the first heat sink, that extends outward from the first induction heating module, and that is configured to discharge heat from the first heat sink out of the first induction heating module; an air-discharge fan located at an inner side of the casing and configured to discharge air from inside of the casing to outside of the casing; and a cooling fan located at the inner side of the casing and configured to blow air to the air-discharge fan. The first heat pipe has an end that protrudes from the first induction heating module and that is located at an air-flow path defined between the cooling fan and the air-discharge fan.

A cooking appliance according to an embodiment of the present invention may comprise: a case in which a cooking chamber is formed; a door for opening or closing the front opening of the case; a steam generating device mounted to the outer surface of the case; and a steam supply tube for connecting the steam generating device to the cooking chamber, wherein the steam generating device includes: a housing fixed to the case; a drawer which can be pushed into and pulled out of the housing and is filled with water for steam generation; and an induction unit installed at the bottom of the housing so as to heat water filled in the drawer by using electromagnetic induction.

A steam generator and a cooking device including the same, according to an embodiment of the present invention may include a water supply pipe into which steam water is introduced, a heating chamber having a chamber body and a chamber cover, and a steam heater configured to provide heat, wherein the steam heater is provided to be embedded in the chamber body and the chamber body includes a plurality of partition walls protruding in one direction along an inner peripheral surface to form a Z-shaped steam flow path through which supply water introduced into the chamber body and steam generated by heating the supply water flow. Therefore, the heat transfer, which had been concentrated only in a predetermined region, may be dispersed by the flow path formed in the chamber body, thereby stably generating the steam even in repetitive steam generation operation.

A steam generator includes: a base module which has a water supply port for receiving steam water; and a steam module which is connected to an upper side of the base module, in which the steam module includes: a main body which has an upper surface and a lower surface; a flow pipe which is positioned at a central portion of the main body and into which the steam water flows; and a heater which supplies heat to the flow pipe, and in which another steam module is selectively coupled to an upper side of the steam module. According to this, the internal volume of the steam generator and the output of the heater provided in the steam generator can be selectively varied so as to provide an optimum output according to the volume of a cooking device in which the steam generator is installed.

A cooking appliance includes a main body that defines a cooking chamber, a steam generator comprising a steam heater that is configured to heat food in the cooking chamber by generating steam, a lower heater located vertically below a bottom wall of the cooking chamber and configured to heat food in the cooking chamber, and a controller configured to control the steam heater and the lower heater. The controller is configured to: based on selection of a steam cooking mode, operate the steam heater to generate steam; and turn on the lower heater in a state in which steam cooking is performed.
