A method is disclosed for treating or maintaining a hard surface comprising a stone or stone-like material, the method comprising treatment of the surface with a flexible pad, in the presence of abrasive particles, bonded to the pad, on a contact surface between the pad and the hard surface, wherein the abrasive particles comprise diamond particles, and the treatment is performed in the absence of an effective amount of crystallization agent on the contact surface. The treatment is performed on a substantially regular basis, such as daily, weekly or monthly, and the treatment is performed using a pad comprising an open, lofty, three dimensional non-woven webs of fibers. A tool for use in the method is also provided, as well as a floor-surfacing machine comprising such a tool and a method for manufacturing such a tool. Furthermore, methods for treating or maintaining hard, smooth surfaces such as wood, polymer material, lacquer, linoleum, gelcoat, glass and automotive enamel are disclosed.

A method is disclosed for maintaining a hard surface, the method comprising treating the surface with a flexible pad (), in the presence of abrasive particles, bonded to the pad, on a contact surface between the pad () and the hard surface. The abrasive particles comprise diamond particles, and the treating is performed in the absence of an effective amount of crystallization agent on the contact surface. A tool for use in the method is also provided, as well as a floor surfacing machine comprising such a tool and a method for manufacturing such a tool.

The invention relates to a grinding holder () for connecting a rotary driven tool () to a device () for machining floor and road surfaces, comprising a first plate member () for detachable attachment of the tool (), and a second plate member () for detachable attachment to the machining device ().

A mobile machine for screeding floor surfaces and the like comprises a planet disk, which is rotatably supported and driven by a drive motor, and which carries at least one screeding disk, operatively connected to the drive motor and defining one screeding plane. The operative connection comprises at least one belt or chain running over a belt sheave connected to the screeding disk, and a belt sheave connected to the drive motor. The belt sheave of the screeding disk has a central stub axle forming part of an automotive wheel hub, comprising wheel bolts attached to said planet disk.

Mobile machine for screeding floor surfaces and the like

The invention concerns a carrier plate holding an abrading element, for detachable mounting on a rotatably mounted abrading plate driven during use, for abrading stone or concrete floors, which carrier plate has sides which form an acute angle with each other. The sides have flanges which are formed for surrounding engagement with a shoulder arranged on the abrading plate so that the carrier plate can be fixed on the abrading plate with an engagement based on form and friction.

The invention relates to an arrangement in a mobile machine for screeding floor surfaces. This comprises a housing with a planet disk (), which is rotatably supported in the bottom of the said housing and driven by a drive motor (). The planet disk carries a number of rotatably supported screeding disks, distributed over the planet disk () and operatively connected to the drive motor (). According to the invention the number of screeding disks is an even number up to a maximum of six. Viewed in the direction of rotation of the planet disk (), half the number of screeding disks have a direction of rotation coinciding with the planet disk () and the remaining screeding disks an opposing direction of rotation.

The method comprises finishing of the floor surface using a cutting, grinding and/or polishing tool. In the method, a vapor or aerosol is applied to the floor surface and/or the tool in connection with said dry finishing. An apparatus and a set of parts for carrying out the method are also disclosed.

Method and apparatus for grinding of concrete floors

The invention relates to a device in a circular disk-shaped cleaning element intended for cleaning by means of a cleaning machine. The element is designed with a number of recesses () distributed over the active cleaning surface () thereof Grinding elements () containing industrial diamonds and conventionally used for grinding stone and concrete floors are arranged in the said recesses. The grinding elements are fixed in such a way that in use they only come into light contact with the surface that is to be cleaned. The invention further relates to the use of a cleaning element in connection with wet cleaning conventionally performed with a cleaning machine. Alternatively the device may be used in such a way that dry polishing is first performed using the cleaning element, following which wet cleaning is carried out using a conventional cleaning element.
