A stick vacuum cleaner having a handheld vacuum cleaner adapted to be docked to a stick. When the handheld vacuum cleaner is docked to the stick an air path is formed connecting an air outlet of the handheld vacuum cleaner with an air outlet provided in the stick. A noise absorption unit is provided in the air path or outside the air outlet from the stick.

The invention relates to a stick vacuum cleaner comprising a handheld vacuum cleaner adapted to be docked to a stick. When the handheld vacuum cleaner is docked to the stick an air path is formed connecting an air outlet of the handheld vacuum cleaner with an air outlet provided in the stick. In the air path or outside the air outlet provided in the stick, a filter is provided.

An upright vacuum cleaner () comprises a main body () having arranged therein a suction chamber (), a fan unit (), a first suction duct (), a second suction duct () and a valve arrangement () operable to establish communication between each of the first and second suction ducts and the suction chamber. In the vacuum cleaning mode, the vacuum forces a first air stream in a first air stream path through the filtering unit, in a first direction, to filter out dust from the dust laden air stream. In the filter cleaning mode, the vacuum forces a second air stream in a second air stream path through the filtering unit, in a second direction reverse to the first direction, to remove dust from the filtering unit. In the filter cleaning mode, the separating unit is in the air path between the vacuum and the filtering unit to separate dust removed from the filtering unit. In the vacuum cleaning mode, the separating unit is not in an air stream path.

The separator has a cyclone chamber, an air entrance device having a flow passage arrangement therethrough for introducing an air stream into the cyclone chamber in a manner that causes the air stream to swirl in the cyclone chamber to remove dust from the air stream, and an air outlet for emitting the air stream from the cyclone chamber. The entrance device has a control member that is operable to alter the flow passage arrangement such that one or more properties of the air stream in the cyclone chamber are affected by the alteration. The flow passage arrangement has a first path and a second path, and the control member is operable to alter the flow passage arrangement by redirecting the air stream from the first path to the second path.

The present invention refers to a refill container unit for an automatic dosing device. The purpose of the automatic dosing device is to control the dosing of stored material kept inside the container unit. The object of the container unit according to the invention is to achieve an agitating and transporting, cleanable and switchable storing arrangement for the automatic dosing unit. The refill container unit therefore comprises an agitating part () enclosed by a receptacle (). The agitating part () agitates and feeds the material. Shaped as a pot containing the material, the agitating part () can also be lifted out of the receptacle () and cleaned or replaced by another pot. As an alternative the whole refill container unit can be replaced.

The present invention refers to an automatic dosing device. The purpose of the device is to store and dose material, kept inside a container part, and to make it possible for an operator to refill the container with material. The automatic dosing device therefore comprises a refilling container (), a dosing screw (), a control system, a driving motor and a guiding mechanism (). The container () stores the material, the screw () doses it out of the container (), the system controls the dosing and the mechanism () guides the container between an inner position where the device can dose material and an outer position where an operator is allowed to refill it with material. The automatic dosing device could preferably be used with a laundry washing machine but there is also possibilities to use the automatic dosing device in another machine that requires an easy handle automatic dosing device.

The screw unit therefore comprises parts that interact with the thread of the dosing screw (), which parts constitutes an attacher () that interacts with the thread and scratches of material clogged on the screw, closer that closes the outlet of the dosing unit and a director that prevents the parts from rotating around the dosing screw ().

An opening () is arranged in the intermediate wall (), through which opening an impeller () sucks in air from the space and blows the air out into the chamber (), the cross sectional area of which decreasing in vertical direction so that the air is evenly distributed along the evaporator () before the air in sidewards direction passes through the evaporator out into the space along the rear wall, from where the air circulates further on through the space between shelves located therein back to the opening ().
