A radar level gauge system comprising: a transceiver; an antenna assembly for arrangement at an opening in a tank wall for radiating a transmit signal vertically towards the product in the tank, and to return a reflection signal resulting from reflection of the transmit signal at a surface of the product; and processing circuitry for determining the filling level based on the transmit signal and the reflection signal. The antenna assembly comprises: a non-plastic dielectric antenna body having a convex surface facing away from an interior of the tank and a planar surface facing the interior of the tank, when the antenna assembly is arranged at the opening in the tank wall; and a feed arranged to direct the transmit signal towards the convex surface of the non-plastic dielectric antenna body.

The present disclosure relates to a radar level gauge having a tank feed through structure with an elongated transmission member, wherein an inner surface of a dielectric sleeve is in abutment with, and encloses, a radially extending protrusion of the transmission member such as to conform with the shape of the radially extending protrusion. The present disclosure also relates to a method of manufacturing such a tank feed through structure.

A guided wave radar level gauge adapted for mounting on a nozzle of a tank, including an attachment collar with an opening configured to be aligned with the nozzle and to be secured by means of an annular clamping device, and a transmission line probe attached to an exterior end of a probe connector. The GWR level gauge further comprises an annular sealing gasket fitted in the collar opening, the annular sealing gasket having a central opening through which the central probe connector extends, and a distancing sleeve arranged around the exterior end of the probe connector and having a radially protruding collar portion, wherein processing circuitry is configured to detect an impedance change caused by tank content or condensate which has passed through the central opening of the sealing gasket and collected in an annular space immediately surrounding the radially protruding collar portion.

A gauging instrument intended to be sealingly mounted on a nozzle of a tank, and comprising an attachment collar intended to mate with said nozzle so as to face the product in the tank, a dielectric filling member with a radially extending collar portion which abuts an outer rim of said attachment collar, and an annular spring element arranged between the outer rim the radially extending collar portion. One or several fastening elements are configured to secure the attachment collar to, and in mating relationship with, the nozzle, such that the radially extending collar portion is sandwiched between the outer rim of the attachment collar and the nozzle, and the annular spring element exerts a contact pressure on the collar portion against the nozzle to thereby ensure a process seal.

A radar level gauge system comprising a transceiver; a probe for guiding a transmit signal towards a product in a tank, and for returning a surface echo signal; processing circuitry for determining the filling level based on the transmit signal and the surface echo signal; and a connection arrangement for conductively connecting the probe to the tank, and for providing the transmit signal from the transceiver to the probe. The connection arrangement comprises a feed-through member to which the probe is conductively connected. A tank coupling arrangement is arranged on the inside of the tank to electrically connect the signal conductor and the metallic portion of the tank.

A radar level gauge comprising a directional antenna, a hollow wave guide connected to the antenna, a tank connection having a through hole with an annular abutment, a dielectric filling member arranged in the tank connection, the dielectric filling member comprising an annular collar portion resting against the annular abutment, a clamping member inserted into the tank connection, a fastening member attached to the fixed tank connection to secure the clamping member between the fastening member and the annular abutment, and a spring member arranged between the fastening member and the clamping member. The spring member presses the clamping member towards the annular abutment, to apply a controlled pressure on the annular collar portion, allowing the annular collar portion to serve as a pressure tight sealing between a tank interior and a tank exterior.

The wave guide arrangement includes a hollow wave guide, a first filling member made of a first dielectric material, which first filling member is arranged inside the hollow wave guide, and a second filling member made of a second dielectric material, which second filling member is arranged inside the hollow wave guide outside the first filling member with respect to the tank. The second filling member is fixed in the wave guide at least in a direction out from the tank, and is configured to withstand temperatures up to 250 degrees Celsius. During conditions of temperatures sufficiently high to soften the inner filling member, the outer filling member will thus serve to prevent the first filling member from being forced out of the wave guide.
