A method, node, and system are provided that overcome problems with using inaccurate estimates of a current round trip time RTT for verifying the ACK/NACK information received in an ACK/NACK report, e.g., a piggy-backed ACK/NACK (PAN). This is accomplished by de-coupling the RTT from the ACK/NACK analysis performed in the sending node that receives the ACK/NACK report. As a result, unnecessary re-transmissions are avoided, communication delays are decreased, and spectrum and other system resources are used more efficiently.

Method and apparatus for ACK/NACK reporting

Method, arrangement and computer program product in a base station for transmitting two USF values and two data blocks to a terminal. The base station and the terminal are comprised within a wireless communication network. The two USF values are to be sent across the first data block and the second data block. The first data block and first parts of the two USF values are modulated with a first modulation technique and the second data block and second parts of the two USF values are modulated with a second modulation technique. The modulated data blocks and USF parts are transmitted to the terminal. Method and arrangement in a wireless communication network

The present invention relates to a method for monitoring media flow in a telecommunication network. The network comprises a media-handling node (MHN) through which, sessions between subscribers are transported via first ports (PI-PI) and second ports (PO-PO). An extra port (XP-XP) is assigned to the media-handling node (MHN) for each new session that is transported through the node. The method comprises the following steps: storing in a database (LI-DB), identification of a first subscriber (A) for which monitoring is desired; a connection is set-up between the first subscriber (A) and second subscriber (B); an assigned extra port (XP) that is adherent to the session between the first and second subscriber (A, B) is connected; the session between the first and second subscriber is monitored via the connected extra port (XP).

Monitoring in a telecommunication network

A system, method, and User Equipment, UE, for providing a current LTE cell location to a Generic Radio Access Network Controller, GANG, based on different triggers depending on the UE state. The GANC ensures that the correct GANG is serving the UE, and also maps the LTE cell location to an associated GAN Cell Global Identifier, GAN-CGI. The GANG provides the GAN-CGI to a Mobile Switching Center, MSC, or other serving core network node to support location-based services and other mobile originated or mobile terminated calls and transactions.

Maintaining current cell location information in a cellular access network

In a cellular radio system data is transmitted to a Dual Carrier mobile station from two different cells during a data transfer. Hereby existing hardware in a GSM system can be utilized more efficiently. The data transmission from the two cells can be frame synchronized. Frame synchronization can for example be obtained by transmitting data from two cells located on the same radio base station site.

Method of transmitting down link data

A method may include receiving, by a user equipment incapable of transmitting and receiving simultaneously, a schedule to transmit data on an uplink, detecting, by the user equipment, whether there is data to be transmitted on the uplink, and receiving, by the user equipment, during a time corresponding to the schedule, data associated with a downlink, when it is determined that there is no data to be transmitted.
