A fuel cell system includes a fuel cell stack including a cathode to which air is supplied, and an anode to which hydrogen is supplied. In particular, the fuel cell system further includes: an air discharge line to discharge the air discharged from the fuel cell stack into the atmosphere; a pressure adjuster provided in the air discharge line to selectively open or close the air discharge line; a first hydrogen discharge line connected to the fuel cell stack and the air discharge line at an upstream side of the pressure adjuster; a second hydrogen discharge line connected to the first hydrogen discharge line and the air discharge line at a downstream side of the pressure adjuster; and a hydrogen discharge valve part to selectively open or close at least one of the first hydrogen discharge line or the second hydrogen discharge line based on a pressure of the anode.

Fuel cell system

A fuel cell system includes: a supply flow path configured to supply reactant gas; a first branch flow path branching off from an outlet end of the supply flow path and configured to guide the reactant gas to a first fuel cell stack; a second branch flow path branching off from the outlet end of the supply flow path and configured to communicate with the first branch flow path and guide the reactant gas to a second fuel cell stack; and an inlet area change part disposed in a boundary zone between the first branch flow path and the second branch flow path and configured to selectively change inlet areas of the first and second branch flow paths. Efficiency in discharging condensate water is increased and performance and operational efficiency are improved.

The present disclosure provides an ejector nozzle and an ejector including the same. The ejector nozzle includes a first tube having a first flow path into which a fluid is introduced, and a second tube provided outside the first tube and having an inner diameter larger than an inner diameter of the first tube, the second tube defining a second flow path between the first tube and the second tube, in which the first tube further includes a communication port that penetrates the first tube to allow the first flow path to communicate with the second flow path and is openably and closable provided, and in which when the communication port is opened, a part of the fluid flowing in the first flow path is allowed to flow along the second flow path.

Ejector nozzle and ejector including same

Proposed are a fuel cell system and a method of controlling the fuel cell system. The fuel cell system includes: a hydrogen supply unit connected to a hydrogen inlet side of a fuel cell stack, with a supply valve and a sensor being provided in the hydrogen supply unit; a hydrogen discharge unit connected to a hydrogen outlet side of the fuel cell stack, with a water trap and a purge valve being provided in the hydrogen discharge unit; and a controller configured to calculate an amount of hydrogen discharged through the purge valve from an amount of hydrogen supplied to the fuel cell stack and an amount of hydrogen consumed therein, and to perform compensation control of the supply valve when the amount of the discharged hydrogen is at or above a reference value.

Fuel cell system and method of controlling same

The present disclosure provides an ejector nozzle and an ejector including the same. The ejector nozzle includes a first tube having a first flow path into which a fluid is introduced, and a second tube provided outside the first tube and having an inner diameter larger than an inner diameter of the first tube, the second tube defining a second flow path between the first tube and the second tube, in which the first tube further includes a communication port that penetrates the first tube to allow the first flow path to communicate with the second flow path and is openably and closably provided, and in which when the communication port is opened, a part of the fluid flowing in the first flow path is allowed to flow along the second flow path.

A fuel supply control system and method for a fuel cell are disclosed. The system includes: a fuel cell configured to receive a fuel gas and an oxidation gas and generate electric power; a recirculation line configured to circulate gas containing the fuel gas and connected to a fuel electrode of the fuel cell; a discharge valve provided in the recirculation line and configured to allow the gas to be discharged to the outside when open; a discharge amount estimator configured to estimate a discharge amount of the discharged gas based on a supply amount of the fuel gas supplied to the recirculation line, a consumption amount of the fuel gas consumed in the fuel cell, and a change in the amount of the gas in the recirculation line; an offset calculator configured to calculate the discharge amount of the gas estimated by the discharge amount estimator with the discharge valve closed, as a discharge offset; and a controller configured to control opening/closing of the discharge valve.

System and method for fuel supply control for a fuel cell

A method of measuring a water level in a water trap of a fuel cell system, the method including outputting a detected water level of a capacitive level sensor having a plurality of electrodes in the water trap. The method includes resetting a reference output value of each electrode and determining the water level depending on the speed at which water is introduced while detecting the water level in the water trap depending on an output value measured by the plurality of electrodes. Thereby, the influence of temperature and electrode differences is removed.

Method of outputting a water level of a capacitive level sensor for a water trap of a fuel cell system

A discharge valve is provided in a recirculation line through which gas discharged from a fuel cell stack recirculates to the stack. The discharge valve opens or closes a discharge line through which a fluid in the recirculation line is discharged. The discharge valve includes a valve body connected to the discharge line and a drive part disposed in the valve body to be movable vertically. A diaphragm is coupled to a lower end of the drive part and selectively opens or closes the discharge line based on the vertical movement. The drive part switches between a closed state in which the discharge line is closed by the diaphragm, a first opened state in which the discharge line is opened to a first opening degree, and a second opened state in which the discharge line is opened to a second opening degree greater than the first opening degree.
