The present disclosure relates to a distributed antenna monitoring apparatus for monitoring antennas of a distributed antenna system (DAS) installed in a building in a public safety radio network, and a method therefor. The distributed antenna monitoring apparatus disclosed herein includes: a radio coupler configured to couple a monitoring radio signal to be transmitted and received to and from distributed service antennas; a master unit configured to transmit the monitoring radio signal having a diagnostic packet included therein to the distributed service antennas through the radio coupler, and receive a monitoring radio signal having a response packet included therein from each of the distributed service antennas to measure a received signal strength indication for uplink (RSSI_U), analyze the measured received signal strength indication for uplink (RSSI_U) and a received signal strength indication for downlink (RSSI_D) to monitor a state of each of the distributed service antennas; and a plurality of remote units respectively connected to the distributed service antennas through radio links, and each configured to receive the monitoring radio signal having the diagnostic packet included therein transmitted from the master unit to measure the received signal strength indication for downlink (RSSI_D), assemble the response packet having the measured received signal strength indication for downlink (RSSI_D) and transmit the monitoring radio signal having the assembled response packet to the master unit.

Distributed antenna monitoring apparatus used for public safety radio network, and method therefor

This embodiment discloses a dual-band signal booster for a public safety radio network. The signal booster disclosed herein performs a low-noise amplification and a frequency down/up conversion on a radio frequency signal received from a donor antenna, amplifies the amplified and converted signal to a high-power level, and transmits the amplified signal to a service antenna. Further, the signal booster disclosed herein performs the low-noise amplification and the frequency down/up conversion on a radio frequency signal received from the service antenna, amplifies the amplified and converted signal to a high-power level, and transmits the amplified signal to the donor antenna. According to this embodiment, it is possible to simultaneously service a plurality of channels to increase a communication capacity. Further, it is possible to variably set a class, frequency and bandwidth of each channel as needed, which makes it possible to provide communication qualities optimized according to installation field conditions.

A modular PIM analyzer includes: a first signal amplification module provided with a first signal generator for generating a first frequency signal under control of a first MCU, and a first power amplifier for generating a first amplified frequency signal through the amplification of the first frequency signal under control of a first ALC circuit; a second signal amplification module provided with a second signal generator for generating a second frequency signal under control of a second MCU, and a second power amplifier for generating a second amplified frequency signal through the amplification of the second frequency signal under control of a second ALC circuit; and a triplexer module for extracting a test frequency signal using the first amplified frequency signal and the second amplified frequency signal, transmitting the test frequency signal to a device under test, and receiving a PIM signal being reflected from the device under test.

The diplex filter for testing a base station in accordance with an embodiment of the present invention includes: a housing comprised with a first connector and a second connector which are connected to a base station, and a third connector connected with the antenna, wherein the first, the second and the third connectors bi-directionally transmit/receive signals; a band pass filter unit comprised in one inside in the housing, transmitting signals between the first and third connectors to pass predetermined frequency bands; a band reject filter unit comprised in the other inside in the housing, transmitting signals between the second and third connectors to reject predetermined frequency bands; and a coupling block disposed between the band pass filter unit and the band reject filter unit, and coupled the band pass filter unit and the band reject filter unit with the third connector, and to move the signal distortion phenomenon occurring due to unnecessary signals included in the signals to frequency bands other than predetermined frequency bands.
